Very clean rooms, food was very good and staff was friendly in The Sample Room. Live music in the barn. We had a really great time! Thank you Wolf for the hospitality!
We stayed at this charming hotel on our way through Kansas. The staff was very accommodating and friendly, the room was clean and inviting, the Jacuzzi tub really helped melt away the attention of the drive in the pouring rain. We ate supper in the restaurant downstairs. Highly recommend!
Since we saw others going in to eat, we thought we would too. After sitting there for several minutes a waitress came by and we asked how we were supposed to order. Even though there is no sign saying so, she said it isn't open until 5pm.
It would be nice if they advertised the times. Oh well, we recommend the shake shack. They have excellent hamburgers.
Great food. Great history. Very clean place
We visited The barn restaurant at the hotel and really enjoyed it. The food and drinks were delicious! Super neat atmosphere and decor. Very clean and the portions sizes were nice and large. We were very impressed and plan to return in the near future.
Neat hotel with rich history.
The wife was intrigued by the Czech eggs scattered about the town and I wanted to see the WWI Veteran's monument. While doing down the street a lady appeared and waved us down. Wanted to know if we were interested in the eggs and when my wife said yes she disappeared into the hotel and brought out a paper showing where they all were.
I believe she worked there and if this is a sign of their customer relations it must be a great place to stay. We will keep Wilson and the Midland Railroad Hotel and Restaurant in mind for next time we are up in the Kansas area.
Thank you for going out of your way for two tourists aimlessly wandering around and gawking at the sites and sights about the town of Wilson.
Just fits the bill for a rustic wild west experience. Loved the food and the hotel room. A wide assortment of whiskeys.
This is a very historic hotel, in a tiny town, with a small staff. It has a lot of character, but isn’t fancy. If you are up for an adventure and want an experience you can’t get anywhere else, stay here. You will be safe, welcomed, and taken care of. I love staying here when I’m traveling alone.
We stayed in room 312 with the hot tub, it had a queen bed in one room then the other room had two chairs that were very comfy and the bathroom was big with the hot tub , shower and sink. Everyone was so friendly and even gave us a tour. We absolutely had a memorable time!

This is an interesting old railroad hotel. It has been refurbished and is fairly nice. I stayed in a room with a double bed which wasn't much bigger than a train cabin but it was comfortable. I assume some of the other rooms might be bigger. The staff seemed super friendly and helpful. The bar and restaurant downstairs is really cool. It's very well done and has a lot of atmosphere. The service was super fast and the food was good. The downside is that this place is seriously in the middle of nowhere. It's not too far off the highway, but the town is super small and there's nothing there. It's a great place to stop overnight but not much more than that.

I stumbled upon this hotel by accident on google maps by clicking on the Czech egg. We needed a place to stay while traveling cross country and it was en route. It was much more unique than a standard hotel and located in a small town that was quiet. We chose the jacuzzi room and it was a great luxury for the price. There is not a fridge, microwave, or other amenities but there is a little market right next door. We didn’t get to experience the dinner or tavern but it’s a neat touch! We were also provided with a complimentary breakfast before heading out. It’s such a cool historic place with Czech culture. It was very cozy and one of my favorite places to stumble upon!
Rooms: Jacuzzi room is worth it! Very spacious and relaxing. There are no extra amenities like a fridge or microwave. It’s quiet and peaceful. Very cozy and clean.
Safety: We felt safe in this area, as it’s a small community. Not much traffic and the people we encountered were so nice!

Driving through and this location was a good distance and not far off the highway. Thanks for having a dog friendly room option. Rooms are very cozy but cute is historical way. Staff was great. Easy walk to the egg.

Rooms: Rooms are historic, but kind of cramped with the modern sized furniture. Nothing at all wrong with them, but would be hard to navigate the room we stayed in if there was a walker or wheelchair involved. No space for kids here.
Noteworthy details: The hotbar food for breakfast is good, and the restaurant downstairs is decent, esp for how tiny Wilson, Kansas is. Not gourmet, but good value.

A gem of a hotel. The ambiance of this historic hotel is exceptional. The staff is great, and I enjoyed the feeling of stepping back in time.
