“Best tacos I've had by far in Kentucky some of the best tacos I've had period. I feel that's saying a lot since tacos have been my favorite food since I can remember. I am from the Sacramento Valley of California where if you know, you know tacos are kind of a big deal. I consider myself a top rate taco connoisseur. I'm talking grilled halibut Tacos, shrimp, tacos. Homemade salsa, grilled onions, Cilantro, tomato, avocado, jalapenos, carne asada, pollo, all that. Not saying they have all that at Buen Taco, just trying to enlighten you as to a bit of the relationship I have with tacos. With that said El Buen Taco makes by far the best tacos I've had outside of California. And... I would even go as far as to say that, for what they are, - i.e., just a great damn taco, I feel they're arguably as good as most any other taco I've had, ever, California not withstanding. I order the carne asada taco "with everything" (being just Cilantro & Onion). And with Carne asada I usually add avocado & tomato. I also really like their barb'coa taco with everything, and I don't add avocado nor tomato on that one. Their seasoning of the meat is as close to perfection as I know. Try it if you like tacos. They also make quesadillas and tortas. All three of their options are flipping great, but like I said, particularly, I'm a taco-ologist. That's my thing. My girl likes their quesadillas. I highly recommend this place.“

“I tried the steak tacos and the elote. I have been trying to find good elote in Lexington for some time now. Forgive me if I’m spelling that terribly wrong. But, the corn dish involving cheese, chili powder, mayonnaise, cilantro, and lime. And it was fantastic. Tasted like it was made authentically. Overall I give this place a 4 out of 5 mostly just due to the location being on the more dangerous side. I say this as someone who has lived in the East End area before. So I’m not talking out the side of my neck. I wish they had shredded beef as a meat option. The prices weren’t anything out of the ordinary during the times that we are in. For 3 tacos for me and 3 for my girlfriend it was $19. And the elote was $11. So $30.00 total. We were happy to pay that, knowing how good the food is. We will definitely be back.“

“Finally authentic Mexican!! So Happy we ate here! I lived in Santa Fe, NM for 25 years and wish we had a place this authentic. Will definitely be back. Food was delicious, server was very kind and gracious. I had the Sopas and Street Tacos, my friend had the Mole and my wife had the Fajitas - everything exceeded our expectations and was delicious. Tortillas were fresh made. Guacamole was delicious. This place is a gem! We tried three specialty drinks, my favorite was the House Jamaica Mezcalita. Below is our order for three people (we ordered too much food) so we all took leftovers home.

“May try it out again but it was mediocre. The service and quickness was great. Husband got steak and chicken street tacos, BLAND. No flavor especially the shredded chicken. Bean soup was good. I got steak fajitas which steak was pretty good so my dish had flavor. Guac was great too. What was VERY disappointing was I got DENIED by my request of corn tortillas instead of flour tortillas with my meal. NEVER have I been to a Mexican restaurant and been (literally) told NO. Server was great but To make the experience REALLY AWKWARD was the fact that instead of getting your bill your server stands there waiting for you to pay them and if paying in cash they’ll stand there and NOT give you your change back. I was waiting for my change (so I could manage out her tip) and she just stood there so I got out more cash for her tip then decides to walk away. Very uncomfortable so you may want to change your checking out routine.“

“District 7 Social Hall is such a neat spot in Lexington, KY! This would be the perfect spot for a date night, outing with friends or even a great space to host an event. The owners are extremely nice and accommodating. There are several activities (bowling, golf simulator) you can play while hanging out, drinking or eating. I will be going back and recommending this place to others.“
