We ordered a few to-go orders and all the burgers were way overcooked and it took forever to get our food. They were not busy (I see why) the staff was friendly but apparently they are under new management and the online menu is not the current menu so the Alexandria burgers we came for are no longer available

Great little place to stop and get food. Or stop by for ice cream out on a ride. Seating is limited to about 20 so large groups stagger. š

Undoubtedly the best food in Alexandria, ky.
French Fries are the best I have ever eaten and they have homemade biscuits and gravy, which is delicious!!

Well, it was ok. When we first walked in we were not even greeted with the hello and we sat down and waited for about 5 minutes for one of the three young ladies to come over and ask us if we knew what we wanted to order. So I ordered the spare time burger without a tomato which is sort of like a big boy. Without sauce. Or a Big Mac? Anyhow, I ordered a side of onion rings and ended up getting onion chips and one onion ring. They must have run out of onion rings because there was only about seven chips and one ring. Never had any conversation with any of the three girls behind the counter. I had to ask three times to get water. The food was okay. Burgers were a little bland no seasoning. I wish I knew that I would have put my own salt and pepper on them. For the value the burger was okay. Onion rings not worth ordering at all. I will have a photograph of my order.

Had breakfast and everything was great. My wife and I ordered different meals and shared. Eggs over easy, home fries, bacon, goetta, and pancakes. All hot, fresh, and delicious. $20 for 2 folks, including tip, is hard to find. My only complaint is 4 huge pancakes is way too much for most people, especially when they taste great. We brought 2 of them home. Young man working the grill was terrific. He was working only 3 feet from the counter and talked to the guests while cooking.

I showed up at Spare Time Grill just after 6am. It was my first time. The food was good. The price was way better. The cook was great and the waitress was great as well. I will definitely have to try their burgers. I've heard good things about them.

How do you mess up Spare Time like this? Seriously. This used to be one of my favorite restaurants. I knew the staff, and they knew me. Under new ownership, the only thing that's edible is the burgers. Had biscuits and gravy, and it tasted like paste. Not just the gravy, either. The biscuits tasted like paste. How do you even do that??? Additionally, they put NO seasoning on the breakfast potatoes. A spiderweb fell into my mouth as the crowning jewel of this awful experience. If you think that spare time can do no wrong, that's over. Please sell the restaurant.

Met a friend here for lunch. First time under new ownership. The day was good when we started, so we sat under the tent. It was a good thing as we had a quick thunderstorm pop up, but we stayed dry! The waitresses were funny, service was great, and I definitely recommend the Spare Time Burger. It was quite tasty and the fries were perfect. Definitely recommend.

From the moment I walked in, they ignored me, my husband and our toddler. Someone walked in after us and they got attended first. They saw us and looked at us several times and no one came to us until 10 minutes later. There were 3 servers and two tables (2 and 3 people) that were already there and had already ordered, so they were not busy. Ok, bad start, but we looked past it. Next our food got to us and we didnāt get silverware. We asked 3 people and they finally brought some out 5 minutes later. Our server with the red hair knew we didnāt have silverware and was not busy, but she made no attempt to get them. She never checked on us. The cook is the only one that asked if everything was ok, to which I informed him that I told my server that my pancakes were burnt. He went back and looked and apologized and admitted that they were āhockey pucksā. They were supposedly re making them, but I finished my food and never got my pancakes. The server was not good, she literally only came to us to take our order and never talked to us again unless we waved her down. I got the feeling that they profiled us, but we are great tippers and never complain, but this was the worst dining experience Iāve ever had. Stay away from this place.
