We love everything about Miss Shirley's Bakery! This locally owned and operated bakery is a stand-out, and heads above any national bakery chain store. Where else can you order Long John caterpillars, striped in any color you need! The cherry cake donuts are a specialty there, and you better arrive early or call ahead if you want jelly-filled Donuts! Long live Miss Shirley's Bakery!
Best Bakery ANYWHERE. Try it! See for yourself. I have ordered pies, cakes & danish & always satisfied. Worth the price, for, you get what you pay for. The staff is a joy to meet. If I were grading this one, it would, definitely, be A+ or 4.0 :-) Taste for yourself / you will not be sorry.

Miss Shirley's is the best donut place in town!! The staff are always friendly and smiling. Anyone coming through Alexandria should give this place a try. And while you're at it, buy at least 6! They have so many unique donuts, but have to give at least one of the long Johns a try!Have to get there before 10 or a lot of their variety is sold out already. That says enough for you!
