I believe every time I go In Here it gets better! Must try the brisket ,sweet pepper slaw, and jalapeño corn cakes! It’s absolutely to die for. I usually would only buy bbq if I was in Clarksville,Tn. , but I now eat here all the time. So so good.
Split Tree Barbeque has great food, excellent service, and a relaxed, rustic environment. My partner and I really enjoy eating here or getting takeout. I recommend the chopped barbeque with gold sauce, the corn cakes, and their mac and cheese.Parking: There is a large parking spot with plenty of spaces. Be aware that it is easy to miss the turn for the building parking lot.
Picked up a whole chicken for supper. Thought I was getting a full size chicken, not a cornish hen! It was so small I could cover it with my hand! Very disappointed! Glad I also got a pound of sliced or we would NOT have had enough to feed 4 people!

I have wanted to try Split Tree for years.I will make this short. The food was outstanding. However, I just don't understand their math. According to them. $11 + $7 = $30.Don't question them though. You will get looked at, and treated like you are stupid.

The food is really good here. Everything ,even the causes where just perfect... Now, The service is a bit bad, the only person that smiles & seems to do it all....is the cook , which I'm sure he's probably one of the owners.. if he isn't he should be cause then after cooking, he came out to sweep around when there was 2 woman , the younger one could've helped him out cause she just holds up the wall... But luckily that man is there or I'm sure this place would be no more... The younger chik really makes the place dull. Sorry just being honest.. let's hope that she was just having a bad day.
Stopped in for the first time today on 11/29/23. The cashier was pleasant but unfortunately the barbecue was very average. Ordered the BBQ nachos and it was served with concession stand quality chips and cheese. Also asked for jalapenos and was given just 3. Not nearly worth the price $13.73 after tax.

Man what a difference these new owners have made in the quality, taste, and overall experience. The food was phenomenal and the decor leaves you with plenty to look at and discuss. Super friendly people and great food.

The very best pulled pork bbq in bowling green I have been therexmany times. The food is always great the restaurant is clean and they have lots of cool things that decorate this unusual restaurant.
Worst BBQ I have had. It was dry and flavorless, without the faintest taste of smoke. Thr Mac and Cheese was good, but you don't go to a BBQ joint for the sides. Don't waste your money here.

Lived locally most my life and love bbq but never tried this place for some reason. Stopped in for lunch today and it was excellent. Got the chopped pulled pork dinner with beans mac and cornbread. Everything was excellent. Really liked the gold and mild sauces. Staff was very nice and there was no wait. Will definitely eat here

It’s really unfortunate that such a cute spot with nice people working there has such terrible bbq. I came right when it opened hoping to get fresh meat- however the bbq was extremely dry and almost tasted like they added liquid smoke- I didn’t see a smoke stack either so I have no idea if they actually make real bbq. I had tried split tree several years ago and it was bad then but then saw a sign saying under new management so decided to try again. Not worth the $7 per sandwich price tag. My kids took one bite and refused to eat any more.
