Slim Chickens has officially become my go-to spot for cheat day — except it barely feels like cheating because the food is just that fresh and high-quality. Sure, I load up on the calories (because how could you not?), but the ingredients are clean, the portions are generous, and I never walk away feeling gross or regretful.
Let’s talk sauce: their signature sauce, buffalo, and hot options are straight-up addictive. I could dunk pretty much anything in them and be happy — fries, tenders, napkins, whatever. And the mac and cheese? Easily some of the best in the area, and trust me, this town doesn’t play around when it comes to mac and cheese.
Service is always solid, food comes out hot, and I leave full and satisfied every time. If you haven’t tried Slim’s yet, you’re missing out. Cheat day or not, it hits every time.

The tenders were a little salty. They held us up from ordering because they didn't have seats for us, but the managers found seats for us fairly quickly. Atmosphere was pleasant.

Great chicken tenders. Tried gravy this time and it was good. Not warm but tasted fine anyway. Right amount of pepper. Friendly staff. Decent prices, comparable to Canes and Zaxbys. Clean inside and outside. As good as their other locations.

Went in to eat lunch with some coworkers over all our experience could have been better.Upon placing our order we witnessed a manager speaking loudly meaning loud enough for anyone and everyone to hear in an ill manner to an employee calling her incompetent and slow while other employees snickered,laughed and joked about the situation..I was flabbergasted to say the least.As I stood there speechless I thought wow looking around to see the reaction on others faces.The whispering of costumers is something I’ve never seen in my life.My heart went out to this poor woman and the lady taking our order was apologetic for her managers outburst very unprofessional if there was an issue it could have and should have been dealt with in a more profound & professional manner.
