The food is delicious and although the prices have had to be raised they still offer happy hour on drinks and milkshakes. We usually use the drive through and they are fast and friendly. The times we have went inside have been the same. You go up to the counter now instead of being seated and waited on but they will bring the food to you once ordered.

First time back in a couple of years. Thought I would give it another try to see if was any better. Drive thru girl was supper rude. The fries were rock hard and cold. My burger was crunchy and my husbands was really salty and he can’t have salt. They made use for nearly 30 minutes to get our food and didn’t even tell us to have a goodnight.

The lady at the register apparently can’t listen asked for cheese fries and got no cheese when I asked about it she was trying to charge me for a cheese cup because she didn’t put it down that I wanted it my milkshake had no cookie dough chunks and my fiancés sandwich was supposed to come with cheese and didn’t

It's been a long time since eating here and it will probably be a long time again. The manager is awesome, but that's pretty much all that's awesome. I assume the lady working was the manager. Burger was made wrong and they just scraped off the toppings and put on a cold piece of cheese and brought it out. She did offer to replace it, but I chose to go ahead and eat it as my family already had their food and I had already waited for them to supposedly fix it. They put way to much seasoning on the patties on all of our burgers. Fries were as good as the last time we ate there. It's a far cry from the good ole days pre covid. They have changed so much. It's no wonder it's so empty inside.
The counter service format works really well for Steak ‘n Shake in my opinion. Fast service; limited, yet attractive menu selection; food quality hits the mark.

This place is absolutely terrible. My daughter received a free milkshake from school and was so happy to go there to use it just to tell her she can’t use it and refused to let her get a milkshake. I asked to speak to the manager and she said she was part owner and you’re going to refuse a child a milkshake? Absolute trash. We will no longer be going back and will let others know the same.
