Been a long time customer and fan, mostly at the previous location and we participated in the passport also completely filling our passports. The atmosphere at both locations has always been great, no complaints there with a chill vibe.
I have no clue what happened after the move to the new location. Wait staff has definitely changed and they try, but kitchen is not producing our favorites the same as before in my opinion, especially on our last two visits in May and July so we are giving up at this point.
They always had my favorite brunch especially the biscuits and gravy which were phenomenal, recently it’s been bland with minimal sausage and not enough gravy. The chicken and waffles were atrocious this Saturday, chicken had no flavor nor seasoning (was juicy though), neither did the waffle which was basically cardboard flavored and the maple syrup tasted like water. The breakfast potatoes were good and well seasoned which was the only item on the plate we could eat.
Hopefully things improve, but it will be a while before we try it again, if ever. This is all personal opinion, your opinion may vary so give it a try and see for yourself.

I absolutely love this place! It is my favorite restaurant in the world! The chef came out and personally talked to us about our meal and we told him there was absolutely nothing wrong with it and my papaw said that it was the best meal he’s had in a long time! Everyone was so nice! I love the atmosphere and the local art! If you ever need a place to eat, hangout, study, or anything come here! Make sure you go to the bookstore as well!

What a cool place!? This hidden gem is nestled in a cozy nook of Ashland. The fresh farm to table food was just what I wanted. The check was surprisingly low for such fresh food and a beautiful atmosphere.

Did I mention there's a bookstore AND a bar? What a unique and awesome place. Definitely recommended!
The bookstore itself is beautiful and surprisingly expansive. They have an eclectic and encompassing selection with cozy places to sit and sample your read. Not to mention you can read, eat, and drink at the same time.
Seriously, what a great idea. I'm only mad that I didn't come up with it first! Very cool!

I LOVE the mill. But today’s service was TERRIBLE. The girl at the front desk was terrible to my friend that picked up our order. Why she was so unkind that she asked for WHAT was LITERALLY on the menu with our meals, I have no idea. But boo for today guys. Boo.
Went for brunch and was disappointed…. Way too heavy on the garlic …. Garlic in the sausage gravy and garlic butter on the toast and all I could taste on was the garlic on the potatoes….
Not everyone likes garlic especially on breakfast food

I was excited to try this place, having never been, but we were seated and waited over a half hour with zero service. Not even a drink order or acknowledgement. We watched one server serve a table without even a smile, looking incredibly bored with her job, and another server who served a table sat AFTER us. Got up and left, told the server we sat before the other table and had been waiting… to which she said “sorry” and laughed. Called the owner who was nice enough on the phone and apologized, but really did nothing to try to win a customer back who was looking forward to not only eating there, but supporting the bookstore as well.
Your waitstaff is the front line. If the service is terrible, people will not return no matter how good the food is. I understand finding good help is hard these days, but waitstaff should really be held accountable for how they treat customers as this is not a one-off complaint, judging from other reviews of this place.

First time trying the Cajun Burger. For anyone not sure if they should get it - go for it. It’s fire 🔥 Lainey is so sweet and hopefully you will get her as a server because she did a great job!
