My husband and I enjoyed dinner here on our last evening. The ambiance was casual and relaxing.
I enjoyed the Filet tips with a sweet potato and asparagus, which was all delicious. My husband enjoyed the Mahi fish tacos and a house salad, loaded with tomatoes, cheese, and bacon.
Our server was friendly and attentive.
We do recommend enjoying a meal here !

Called to order lunch for my office.....no one has answered in 6 minutes. Guess we'll get fat patty's. Its easier to get to anyway.
We went to the Winchester on Saturday the 14th of this month. We made reservations and were seated in a timely manner. Then everything went south from there. Our waiter took our order and disappeared. About 30 minutes later our food arrived and we had not received our salads we had ordered. When the waiter did come by, he told us he had been busy with other tables and went and got our salads and brought them to the table with no explanation or apology. We were half done with our meal at that time. Our drinks were never refilled during our meal and didn’t see the waiter till we were done eating and he brought our checks to us, we have been to the Winchester several times and have always been very satisfied.but this trip was a disaster and a disappointment.

Took hubby today for Father’s Day. Was very nervous very that his meal was free up to $25.
Asked for their complimentary hush puppies, was told they been out for over a week. My son and his wife ordered baked potatoes but chose to sub potato croquettes if they were out of bakers. So, they were both charged the 1.00 for getting the premium side even though they couldn’t get bakers as ordered. We ordered potato skins as an appetizer. They were served with bacon and cheese
Burn mmno scallions
We left after 1o minutes of no one evening acknowledging we were there. Young man seating people had the personally of a bookend. Completely ignored us after seating us No server came. Happy Father’s Day
I don’t get to see my fiancé often because he travels for work, so I came from Michigan to Ashland, Kentucky to spend some time with him. We were really looking forward to a nice dinner out together, but unfortunately, our experience here was very disappointing.
We were at the restaurant for two hours and still hadn’t been able to order dinner. We started in the dining area, but our server, Amanda, wasn’t very friendly or attentive, so we decided to move to the bar. The bartender was incredibly kind and doing her best, but she seemed overwhelmed by how busy it was. With some extra support—like a barback—she could have provided an even better experience.
At that point, though, after waiting so long, we were just ready to grab something quick and head out. Sadly, we won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this spot to others based on our visit.
If you want to wait forever, pay $200 for brown soggy lettuce, burnt chicken for your kiddos, and a meal that's barely even warm, all while watching the waiters sit around vaping in the kitchen as you wait longer for your check...then this is the place for you! I'm pretty upset that we just paid $200 for a mediocre meal and a crap experience overall. Pretty sure when I walked to the kitchen to ask for our check, the manager was right there, saw/heard my frustration but didn't bother to check in with us before we left.
$150 for three people. Service was sub par. Bar didn’t have ingredients for one of the mixed drinks, but tried to substitute liquor which didn’t work. Steak medallions were not cooked correctly, salads were good. This is supposed to be one of the premier places to eat and entertain guests in the tristate. Tonight you failed.

We went in on a look at the menu and a hope for a good meal. Ron(our server) was great and attentive. She had the shrimp, I had the filet medallions. Grabbed the crab nachos and white fall sangria to start. Realistically, you can spent 100 or 50, the menu is versatile. I really have no complaints, it was a great experience..
The Haddock was very good. The batter was slightly under seasoned. But it was very crispy outside and moist and flaky inside. The asparagus was huge and delicious. Wife had the fruit fusion salad which I sampled we both thought it was awesome. We had the peanut butter cheesecake for dessert. I highly recommend it.
As far as atmosphere, to be less than half capacity the place was louder than a middle school lunch room. I think part of that was caused by the piped in music was too loud and people were trying to talk over it. Server was very nice but went missing in action when time to pay and leave.
Hostess was great, very friendly. Our Long Island ice teas were very good, very strong. We ordered a medium ribeye, it was raw throughout, asparagas was perfectly cooked but underwhelming. Bourbon BBQ shrimp were pretty good but the green beans were awful. The service wasn't good, but honestly, the food is what we came for and we won't be back.
Steaks cooked to perfection and the finest bourbon collection you will find in town!
Had reservations for 3 weeks and we showed up to be told we couldn’t be seated for over 2 hours. The system crashed. So after planning our special night 3 weeks in advanced we ended up with chic filet drive through. Thanks to the The Winchester for ruining our Valentine’s Day dinner.
