They have a nice coffee bar (which I didn’t utilize this visit), a well-stocked freezer case with treats to take home, and of course the main counter. I and my friend were greeted warmly by a worker who was both knowledgeable and personable. She was patient and helped guide me into picking a perfect treat for myself. The frozen custard was delicious, and I love the wide variety of add-ins and toppings. Can’t wait for my next trip back to try…everything!

Super cute little niche ice cream shop in the District. Custard was fresh and tasty with some very over the top topping options. But hey it’s an ice cream shop. Would definitely also suggest the coffee as it was as good as the custard and none of the calories.
The four on the atmosphere is not for the shop but for the general difficulty in parking and traffic to and from.
Delicious, will make this a stop every-time I’m in town!

I'm not one to make low reviews. Check my account.The blonde middle aged lady who works cashier will be the downfall of this location. We all know who she is. I read several other reviews calling her out for her attitude towards customers.My girlfriend and I went in excited for coffee and ice cream, when we walked in, the place was completely empty. Not even a worker. No big deal. After a minute or so the older blonde lady comes out all frazzled. As if we just interrupted her from something very important.She was super short, rude And bothered when my girlfriend didn't specify if she wanted a sample of the chocolate ice cream or if she wanted a small cup. She pretty much rushed us out of the establishment, to get back to whatever it was she was doing in the back. I lost all desire to give this place my money after a few moments with this lady. I walked out empty handed which is a shame because I was ready for a treat.I hate to rate 1 star for one bad egg, but she's that bad. She ruined our experience and was the rudest customer service encounter I have had in years. Looking at the ribbon cutting photos, it almost looks like the lady in those photos. It would be a real shame if this sour woman is part of ownership/management.

Just to let you know The Coffee Bar is located at this same location in front of the store. Since my wife was having some back pain she decided to stay in the hotel room and rest and I decided to venture out to a local coffee shop. After googling coffee shops in downtown Ashland this came up. Great. I drove from the hotel(8 miles away) to grab a cup of coffee and check out downtown Ashland. There was a young employee working on some drinks for customers in front of me that took several minutes. No problem. However, when I ordered a small coffee he proceeded to tell me he wasn’t trained to make hot drinks and told me if I could come back later when the manager was there he/she could make me a hot coffee. I didn’t consider that a viable option. How do you leave someone in charge in a place that sells coffee that doesn’t know how to make coffee? Someone failed this young employee.

I worked with Emily the most, and she made everything so easy. There was so much flexibility in what they offered too! If we wanted a specific flavor, they worked with us to make it. Emily even made sure that the way they set up the table at our wedding would work well with the rest of our decorations. Then an unexpected highlight was being able to take home the leftover frozen custard and toppings that were not eaten during the reception. Such a treat! I should also say that the frozen custard itself was absolutely delicious! It was so fun having it at our wedding, and our guests loved it! I’ll definitely be getting Whit’s Frozen Custard every time I’m in Ashland!
