If you like learning about Bourbon and its history start here at this 90 year old Distillery.

Our party did the You Do Bourbon tasting and bottling. You taste 3-5 bourbons and pick one you like to buy.Bit overpriced for that experience.
There is a restaurant upstairs with decent food .They stop taking food orders 1/2 hour before closing so be aware of that.Jaz up at the restaurant was one of the few that was really friendly and helpful to everyone.

Terrible experience yet again. Management refuses to address issues related to queuing for allocated products. Avoid on your bourbon trail experience. All that awaits you is a line cutter getting that last bottle in front of you after you waited all night long.

I’ve always respected Heaven Hill and was excited for the opportunity to purchase a limited release bottle. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing and poorly handled.
Over 100 people lined up—many overnight—specifically for this release. Heaven Hill staff allowed everyone to remain in line and eventually brought us indoors, which gave the clear impression that bottles would be available. Only after everyone was inside were we told that there would be no restock and that no additional bottles would be available for purchase. Everyone was then asked to leave empty-handed.
What made this especially frustrating was the lack of transparency. If there were not enough bottles, that information should have been communicated clearly and early—before people invested hours (and in some cases an entire night) waiting in line. Allowing that many people to wait with no realistic chance of purchasing a bottle felt misleading and disrespectful of customers’ time.
Limited releases are understandable, and disappointment comes with the territory—but the way this was handled left a bad impression. Better communication and crowd management would have gone a long way. This experience significantly impacted my view of the distillery.

We have always loved visiting Heaven Hill when we are in Bardstown and usually go multiple times during our trips. However today I witnessed over 100 people spend the night in 20 degree temperatures in their parking lot and by opening there were 200 or more. They knew they only had 80 bottles but still let everyone, including people who had already been there for over 12 hours in the freezing cold, stand in line for a bottle and refused to tell if they had more. I know it's not their fault that a ton of people showed up right before opening and joined the front of the line with people who reserved spots for them but it was their fault letting everyone stand in line to be turned away with a mixture of attitude from the employees and the rest yelling an overly happy Merry Christmas.

Because of the way it was handled it was a danger walking to your car or even leaving the parking lot because there were over a hundred upset customers.

Do better.

Heaven Hill is A MUST in Bardstown! The gift shop is amazing! The special releases on Tuesday and Saturday are somewhat challenging due to people arriving even the day before 😱🫣. The Heritage Rising Tour explores the new Spring Hill facility. State of the art with an amazing bar allows tours of the next level of distillation 🤩. You Do Bourbon is another awesome experience with the ability to obtain special bottles.

The place is great! However the lady in the gift shop with the shoulder length blonde hair is one of the most rude people i have ever met. I would have chalked up my first experience as her just having a bad day But my second encounter was just as bad. And she treated a colleague bad as Well. She is definitely in the wrong business......

Heaven Hill? I think a more accurate name would be Hell Hill. Went upstairs to get a drink. There were 4 employees working the bar and all ignored us. One woman told us to go to the other end of the bar to order a drink. When we did, they ignored us! One lady wiping down glasses rather than taking our order. When we waved at the male bartender, he waved us off and ignored us. Refuses to take our order. Why work in the hospitality industry if you refuse to accept orders or ask how you can help the guests? If you want a heavenly experience, drive in the opposite direction from Heaven Hill. If you want to be treated like dirt and be made to feel like you’re bothering the bartenders, then Hell Hill is for you! Thumbs down on this place.

We were in Kentucky on a bourbon tour as we had a wedding to attend later in the week. The staff that greeted us and staff in the gift shop were very friendly. However, the staff at the bar were rude (except for one young lady who did try to help). There were four or five employees behind the bar and it was like we were bothering them to get a tasting and some cocktails. They were not busy - one table of four ladies (already had their drinks) and three people at the bar. We stood and waited with no recognition that we were there. Then, my husband tried to wave to the one guy behind the bar to get his attention as it had been several minutes and we were being ignored. He actually shrugged him off and refused to come over. He did not want to help or do his job. We finally got someone else to help us and she ran around trying to find an ingredient for one of the festive cocktails. Meanwhile no one else tried to help as she did this. One girl brought over a cocktail flight, put it down on table (not asking whose it was or trying to put it front of the person who ordered it) and had a scowl on her face.
My husband was particularly excited to see this one distillery and try out other brands besides Elijah Craig. We had been to several other distilleries and had a wonderful experience which led to us purchasing bottles at all others. We left here buying nothing. Very disappointing. People should not work in hospitality if they clearly do not want to.
I saw a review about a week ago and it looks like they had the same experience. It’s not a good look for Heaven Hill. This needs to be addressed. Will not recommend others to go here.

Went on a bottled-in-bond tour with Matt as a bourbon expert. He was extremely knowledgeable and lead the tour with captivating enthusiasm. I will definitely be recommending this place as a stop for my out of town family and friends. Thank you

Great place for bourbon lovers.

Reception staff are lovely, gift shop staff lovely. Bar staff seem to have it in for customers and make it a weird atmosphere that you just can't wait to leave, sorry! Made us feel like we were going to rob the place. Shame to come all the way from England for that. Not something to recommend.

Short bus trip to Heaven Hill Springs. Nice tastings throughout the tour. Fun knowledgeable guide. Unity bottle purchase was a great bonus!
