“This place was great, it's small so make sure you get a reservation. Drinks and food were so amazing. There are no main dishes, everything is served to share. The egg salad sandwich if the best I ever had (seriously you need to try it). Will definitely be stopping by again on my next trip to Bardstown.”

First of all, the service we received was exceptional. They were so kind and cheerful. Second, it was the best vanilla cappuccino I have EVER had. The sausage egg and cheese and bacon egg and cheese sandwiches were also delicious.

Make sure you stop by. You won’t be disappointed.”

Riley at the counter has the kind of smile and energy that makes you feel welcome before you even order. Gives off the '50s ice cream parlor vibe. The whole crew of kids working here are the same way hardworking, polite, actually paying attention...no cell phones in sight. Good to see, great job management!

And Jacob's milkshakes? Best I've had anywhere in Kentucky. Not even close. Thick, made right, made to order, and gave me an addictive brain freeze!

“It’s our first night in Bardstown and we had an excellent dinner experience at the Talbot Tavern restaurant. The food was tasty, delivered to our table timely and piping hot. The atmosphere was cozy and comfortable. The “cherry on top” was the service we received from Brooke. She was excellent!…friendly, professional, made outstanding recommendations, and provided us with appropriate attention to ensure we felt like welcomed guests. We will definitely be returning to the Talbot Tavern.”

“One of my favorite tasting rooms. Definitely do the thieving from the barrels and get the souvenir glass! Very friendly and talkative bartender running the tasting. He had lots of interesting facts and stories about the company. All 4 of the samples were good, I liked them all. They offer no food, however allow you to bring in food.”

“I stayed at the Bourbon Cottage for a weekend getaway with another couple. I absolutely adored my stay. It was within walking distance to so many fun things. Not to mention, the house was incredibly clean, well decorated, and homey. It feels like what Airbnbs wish they could be.

The only downside to this house is that if you go with another couple, there is only one large bed, and two twin beds (plus a pull out couch, but who wants that?).

That being said, I would 100% stay here again. The staff was nice and the check in and out was seamless.”

“Everything was great. Food was hot and cooked perfectly. Portions were perfect; not too much but also not too little.

The only negative thing I have to say is there were a couple of dead flies on the window sill. But it is also summer and I understand you can’t catch every fly that comes in.

But it was a great place to eat. We will definitely be back.”
