“This distillery was founded in 2016 as a fully-formed concept -- to make good bourbon, obviously, but function as a Napa Valley-style tour destination, along with a high-end restaurant onsite. They have really succeeded on all fronts. The bourbons are good and the tour is fun and informative. You start in a tasting room, where you sample four products, with careful commentary so you understand the differences, then you walk to the distillery, with a headset allowing you to hear your guide clearly. You get to taste the product at the clear-alcohol moonshine phase, then go into one of the non-climate-controlled warehouses, to taste a full-proof bourbon straight from the barrel. And like all good tours, you end up in the gift shop.
From there our little party went to lunch at the restaurant. I was ready for a glass of wine by then, perfectly paired to a beautifully cooked and very tasty catfish dish. The restaurant is well-lit with high-ceilings and low noise levels.
We then summoned the Bardstown Taxi Company, sitting at the outdoor bar while we waited -- indicating this is would be nice place for an evening drink -- to return to our hotel to rest.“

“The food and bread are amazing. I know people say restaurants have great food and all, but let me put it this way…after a few bites, my non-social media husband asked me “how do I post a review on Yelp?” We will definitely be back.“

“I tried this place before but my first time at this particular location. I did not like this place the last time I tried it which had been a couple of years ago. I thought i would give it a second chance . Glad I did the wings was great had the atomic with ghost pepper ranch. It was absolutely awesome. Had the sampler for app the onion rings was good pickles was ok and the mozzarella sticks was ok. The girl that served us was not the best In The world. She was friendly. But a little slow on the drinks and was kinda short on A couple of questions we asked. But she was very nice. The visit was good. I would definitely go back.“

“Stopped in the other day before a tour at HH. Might have been the best breakfast I ever had. Chicken fried steak was incredible….and those biscuits were fresh and fluffy. If I lived close I might eat there every day. Very friendly and welcoming staff, great atmosphere and decor. I would say its a “must-stop” for anyone visiting the area!“

“Willett was our absolute favorite tour that we went on during our trip to Bardstown. Our guide was so personable and knowledgeable, and I especially loved that they space out the tastings rather than doing them all at once. This really helped prevent flavor fatigue and kept the tour engaging. Booking a reservation at the bar is an absolute must. The egg salad sandwich was phenomenal, and my husband said the pan con tomate was the best he's ever had. Highly recommend ordering and Artichoke Hold at the bar as well.“
