“Mac’s Hideaway, is the Cheers of New Albany, IN. You walk in enough, everyone knows your name. Bartender’s are attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. Good mix of entertainment throughout the week, from bands, trivia, and karaoke. Food always hits the spot, especially the fish and shrimp! If you haven’t checked them out, you should!“
“I personally DO usually like this place, but today was not the best experience. No one was exceptionally rude but I ordered hash browns with chili, mushrooms and onions on top and there was only chili. When I said something because they charge per topping the server said oh it's there it's on the bottom. So I looked there were still No onions and only 4 mushrooms. I took a picture and I really did look but I feel like not only did I pay for something I didn't get but it didn't seem like anyone cared. You shouldn't charge people for extras if you aren't going to give them to them.“
“Decided to try this place on our road trip. It was delicious! A bit salty but still absolutely delicious! The Calamari didn't taste sweet or spicy but still no complaints. Thinly battered and tasted good even without doing in the sauce. I had the mussels in the white sauce and my husband had the red sauce. Our son had the sandwich. The bread was really soft (almost like French toast) and the short rib was so soft and tender. We also got the Mac & cheese for our daughters to share. At first they were skeptical because of the color (compared to Krafts) but after the first bite, they were convinced. It was so creamy. Our girls ended up having a little of everything and actually finished off their plates.“
“Jack Fry's is a community icon and standard for the best food and service in the area. I have not tried a dish that wasn't above excellence! The historic feel of the restaurant coupled with the food makes for an unforgettable experience!“
“My husband and I went here for the first time last night for his birthday. This place truly impressed both of us. The restaurant was cozy and had live jazz style music. The service was lovely and all of the food was outstanding! We will definitely be back.“
“First time experience. Food was tasty but felt a bit pricey. Service was very slow. Soda was not correct syrup consistency but when asked the charge was removed. Not sure why there was a merchant fee. ?? They ran out of silverware.Vegetarian options: One of us had a taco that had a black bean burger in it. Excellent taste.“
“Portion sizes and flair for fresh and local is all spot on. You will not leave hungry but usually not with leftovers either. The caliber of cooks and chefs here is top notch. And I adore the simplicity and rotation of the menu through the seasons. We say you can always tell someone's skill by how they make soup and these are the best soups I've ever had. Muligatawny all the way!! Seriously good food for foodies. AND such a wonderful cause and mission. I always leave feeling good.“
“In Season is the perfect place for a delicious, fast, and healthy lunch! The food is impeccably seasoned and well curated to make use of local “in-season” foods. Everything is fresh and delicious!Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options, and easy ability to sub-out animal proteins for many other choices.“
“Wow! This was by far one of the best spots I tried in Louisville. Both times I went, the pork belly tacos were simply heaven. From a unique selection of French fry flavors, to delicious Mac n cheese ball appetizers, there's something for everyone to enjoy. The service was very pleasant and friendly, definitely worth your time.“
“We had a girls night out at Square Cut and it was fantastic! We had the “chefs table” menu so we could try several different things and every single bite was amazing. My favorites were the pumpkin dip and mussels. I’m looking forward to my next visit!“
“Love this place! Each burger is very unique and seasoned to fit the style of where the meat came from. I have been here several times and have had the wagu, elk, and recently the yak burger. They were all so different and so good! Highly recommend if you want to try something new and different“
“Got three burgers to split and share amongst the group. All were very good. The bacon cheeseburger was really good. Mushroom and Swiss was super juicy and made to perfection. the best one was the one with prime rib, adding the au ju elevated the burger even more than it already was. The Cajun fries were more on the salty side, so I would probably just go regular next time. Lucky milkshake made with vanilla instead of mint chocolate chip- super thin kinda milky without the vanilla ice cream texture but the chocolate whip cream was where it's at. Definitely would recommend if you are in the mood for a juicy burger.“
“Added this rooftop dinner to my favorites list! Beautiful view, kind and fun staff, amazingly delicious dinner, and best cocktails we have ever had! Appreciate the sweet tour guide in the gift shop and our waiter, Whitney, for his recommendations and service.“
“Our brunch experience was pure perfection from start to finish, thanks to the extremely friendly staff (you know who you are, Tone ?) setting up additional outdoor tables on the patio for us without us even having to ask. The sun was out – and they knew where ours heads were at. ?All of the brunch dishes I’ve ordered here have been divine. The staff is always friendly, goes above and beyond, and doesn’t make their guests feel uncomfortable asking for meal substitutions/alterations from the listed menu items. Everything is very chill – the way brunch should be!Thanks for another great experience in the Highlands sunshine, HM! ☀️??Dietary restrictions: Staff doesn’t mind menu customizations upon request“
“Wow! The food really is yummy! The owner welcomed us as if we knew him for years. I don’t know his name, but wish I found out since we are best friends now. This guy was so nice and happy to see us even though we didn’t know him. Just look at him rushing over to ask how we are doing! The food was all organic, and no fake ingredients, we were told. My new best friend told us all about the cooking process, and how much attention to detail is used, and you can tell it is really true. We came from Michigan, and we might just drive all the way down here just for this place! Definitely come to this place if you want the best food in town.Kid-friendliness: It’s great!“
“My husband and I cannot rave enough about our entire experience at Buck’s! Kris, the general manager, was incredibly welcoming. Natalie, our server, was very attentive. Our appetizers, entrees and dessert were fresh, flavorful and delicious! Next time we make it to Louisville, we will be dining here again!“
“An experience that lays not just with the food, but the staff. We had to switch our birthday reservation last minute due to driving our sweet cat Luna to the animal hospital. I felt horrible. Manager Anna was not a teensy bit worried about our cancelation, but exceptionally worried about our cat. She went on to ask Luna's name and other questions. Experiencing this human kindness meant the world - especially in that moment. Anna moved our reservation to the next day and made sure we were exceptionally cared for! She paired Neve to be our server (also a cat lover). I was surprised when he asked about Luna! We went on to swap cat photos and names. It was basic human connection - that I feel is often lost in society and certainly in dining experiences. Not at 610. Expect staff to care about you. Due to the cost and the desire to tip 30%+, a meal like 610 happens once a year for us. However, after this experience, we will go to less date nights - just to experience 610 more. This is because of the kind gestures Anna and Neve provided for us during a time of great sorrow. Our sweet cat may have died, but our latest experience at 610 will last forever! Oh, and the food... when coming to view reviews of 610, we are all saying the same dang thang. Order the 5 or 7 course meal. Go with the wine pairing. Arrive hungry, and you won't go wrong. The menu continuously provides innovative flavors curated with passion. A quintessential Louisville favorite. A must. Please, book your reservation now!“
“Love the ability to order various different sliders and create your own meal. The smoked ketchup was amazing. We tried one of almost everything and our favorites were the corned beef, pork belly and the cheeseburger. Another huge plus is that they have tots! 10/10 would recommend.“
“Enjoyed breakfast at Foko’s new location. Staff were friendly and helpful. Tried the Wake Up Burrito, Dirty Horchata, and tres leches pancakes! All were delicious! A friend who was with me already made plans to return and bring her family! Love this place!“
“Out of towners trying this breakfast/brunch restaurant out for the first time! outside atmosphere was adorable and gives a feel of "home". Patio seating and seats outside under a tent, where the outside bar is! The wait time was about 45 mins for a table, but that was perfectly okay because of the outside bar and porch to wait! cornhole, table jenga, and connect 4 games were also outside, so there are things to do while you wait. the food is spectacular. Try their homemade jams and hot sauce! You won't be disappointed! Service was excellent. We sat at the bar, bartender was great (Jasmine), and the wait time for our food was under 10 mins. I ordered the BIG BAD BISCUIT - Make sure you have room in your belly because the portions are extremely generous! I could only eat half of the biscuit! Very clean, "homey", and just an overall wonderful experience. Great Job!“
“Loved the atmosphere here, my family decided to come here and treat us as a wedding gift. They were under the impression they had a wider variety if seafood which seem to be majority cold seafood depending on the hour. Drinks were great, and a little pricy but paying for the ambience as well.“
“Great dinner for 5 at classic Louisville Bardstown road location. I think reasonably priced too our tab included bar drinks and a nice bottle of red wine. I enjoyed very nicely cooked grilled salmon, wasabi potent to my liking ( if you have a wasabi limit, mention that to your server so they can dial it back for you ) something for everyone as chicken livers salad, burger, chicken piccata also enjoyed at our table. Sever Marty could not be more helpful knowledgeable entertaining. Well done Uptown! Hope to be back again soon“
“Food was amazing. Service not so much. These ladies are on super slow time but the food is great. Plan to spend an hour minimum. If you have the right staff your business will thrive. If you have people that literally do not care, it won't. I'd go back just for the owner and the food but not the serving staff. One was good, the other was very put out and refused to go faster then snail speed. She turned so many people away in front of us saying it would be over an hour for their food but truly it was just her. Go for the food, not the service❤️“
“Every part of our evening was great. The bison burger was the best burger I’ve ever had, perfect amount of juicy and flavorful. The service was also fantastic. Our waiter Jordan was very helpful and made our anniversary dinner and our friends’ engagement memorable.“
“We used The Copper Room at Orange Clover for a baby shower for a first time momma to be. I just cannot find the words for how wonderful the experience was. First off, the staff, absolutely phenomenal. Every single person I talked to (I’m sorry I don’t remember names, my memory is lacking currently) was so sweet and helpful. I appreciate every single one of you. Second, the food was perfect and delicious. Third, the room itself was everything I hoped it would be and more. The team working helped us make everything absolutely perfect. I cannot imagine a better place to have an event-from the staff, the food, to the location and the service. Beyond grateful for you all! Thank you so so much! ☺️“
“Best spot in Highlands to grab a pint and a bite, trust me when I say this is authentic Bardstown Rd Louisville, for better for worse (mostly better!). The staff and clientele are regulars and even come visit, from past to present; this is a friendly, family place, and the tastes and menu are diverse and welcoming. From Czech beer to Asian foods to Americas finest IPAs they have it, along with Sushi rolls and bar bites, from plain to fancy, they have it. Board games and card games, they have that too. Come in and say hi today, I’ll be set outside on the patio/sidewalk with a pint and some delicious food.“
“The tacos have my whole heart!!! No seriously, after trying their Thanksgiving taco I have been raving about it to my husband. It got to the point where he told me to either stop talking about it or take him to get one. So we went and got one. Another taco of theirs I really like is the chipotle chicken one. I am a little ashamed to admit, but I've been here many times recently and I've gotten the Thanksgiving taco three of those times , there is just some thing about the zest in their cranberry sauce that really pulls it together. All that to say- I'm excited to come back and try even more of the taco combinations! This is a great place to stop in NuLu for a drink and snack, or you can make a meal out of the menu items. Around the holidays the bar turns into "miracle on market" and becomes a Christmas lovers dream. They usually post who is DJ'ing on their socials. The staff has always been kind and welcoming, food and drinks come out relatively quick even when the place is packed! Overall: check them out even if it's not the holidays, the fun tacos will hook your attention!“
“hate to leave a bad review but was disappointed in the food. the filet was just ok...not very tender...no sides came with it and for 59 thats ridiculous. The calamari was really good but could have came with a dipping sauce..we had to ask for one. The mushrooms were overcooked and too salty. The salads weren't big at all. The lump crab came in a tiny metal ramekin and it was salty as well and wasn't lump at all..it was shredded. Presentation on a lump crab shouldn't be served this way in such a fancy restaurant. on a positive note...the manager was very professional and they took care of the whole bill plus gave us dessert. I just want to leave this as constructive criticism for them so hopefully they improve the quality and quantity of their food for people paying high dollar. Maybe the chef was overwhelmed or having a bad night not sure. The environment was nice...gorgeous view. Just think there's a lot of changes that should be made to get a higher rating.“
“I was visiting Louisville for the Under Armour volleyball tournament. I went to Wild Eggs for breakfast since they opened at 6:30a and got their at 6:45a. I ordered the strawberry tall cakes. It was stack of 5-6 pancakes with plenty of strawberries and compost. The reason for 4 stars is I like my pancakes a little more brown. It has plenty of seats and I didn’t get the name of my server. He was a very nice guy, and since I was short on time, was quick to check me out. It’s convenient in Downtown and a short walk. Would definitely recommend if you are in the area.“
“Great spot along the Ohio River. Food was delicious. We had a Beer Cheese Burger, Classic Burger, Turkey & Guac sandwich, Brewery Fries, and Broad Ripple Chips. Unfortunately, the chips were mostly a pile of crumbs. They could have a bigger craft beer selection, and fewer IPAs. Also, the table we were sat at had the sun pouring through the glass. We kept having to slide our table back to get some relief. All in all, I'm sure we'll be back.“
“I was looking for a place to hostal my birthday and somebody recommended The Hub to me. I got in contact with Itzel and she was amazing!! She helped me through the whole process and made sure my birthday was a night to remember. Everyone that went had a great time thanks to Itzel and I will continue to go there because of this amazing experience!“
“A friend and I played this course for the first time. First Impression was this course was beautiful. Very nice layed out. It wasn't a very difficult course pretty much wide open and the greens were the fastest I have ever played. If you play the white tee's you will only hit over water once. The only thing I could say bad about this course was that some of the tee boxes were in really bad shape however that didn't really hurt your game. Over all we really enjoyed the course and will be coming back.“
“Are there before it moved from where it was right off bardstown road. Was really good and surprisingly not outrageously priced. Had a nice laid back feeling on top of the employees making sure you knew if something could possibly have something that might cause a food allergy reaction.“
“Tour was a lot of fun! Interesting to see something other than a bourbon distillery in Louisville. Only nixing a star because of the ~6 drinks sampled on the tasting, maybe one was drinkable. Everything came with a recommendation of "this makes a great cocktail!" which I wholeheartedly believe... but we were drinking it all straight, not in cocktails!“
“Have been here many times. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because the last time we were there everything was WAY over seasoned. Generally everything is perfect, good food and drinks. I'd still recommend this place to anyone and I'll still be a return customer.“
“The Chicken Milanese was amazing. Crispy gluten free breading and a choice main entree. Excellence extended to the Haloumi salad, and the ahi. Fresh, bright, and flavorful ingredients that are unfussy and not overdressed or seasoned. Only negatives were (1) the music was loud and unnecessarily profane, it marred what was an otherwise fantastic atmosphere and (2) the olive oil cake needed more air and more almond flour. But overall an excellent and very memorable meal, with an owner that cares and loves providing great hospitality.“
“Came here with a friend and absolutely loved it! The decor is adorable and has some of the old school vibes. The menu is a decent size. I thought the menu allowed for options of all different diets (vegans and vegetarians). The drink menu is so cool and unique . Has many cocktails representing various time periods. Also, their house cocktails were fun. I ordered the war head margarita and it def was not as sour as I thought. It was sweet and a decent pour. Could have been stronger but not bad for what it was. My friend got the oatmeal cream pie drink. She said it was good but didn't taste like like an oatmeal cream pie. We ordered the chicken nuggs and onion rings appetizer and both were outstanding. I ordered the steak and frites and was surprised they had a new york strip option that night. I ordered the steak medium rare. It definitely wasn't medium rare, but it was still good. My friend ordered the crab cakes (I think lol or the croquettes) and the salad. Her salad was HUGE even though it was an appetizer. The service was great! The servers were dressed in the theme and I def dressed in the theme. Overall I give this place an A rating! My only criticism is the steak not being cooked correctly, but they also aren't a steakhouse.“
“We went here for my bachelorette party dinner, this place was a very cool vibe. Our waiter Joey was very knowledgeable and made our visit so special. The crown jewel is so tasty and all of the appetizers were sooo good! Such unique place will be back when I come to town. Thank you so much Joey for making me feel special!“
