I did the 10:45 Bottled in Bond tour. I had a great time and learned a lot about the ageing process of bourbon. Abby was an excellent guide! she was very kind, knowledgeable, and patient. The gift shop and entire facility is very clean and well maintained. Will come back to try other experiences.
Heaven Hill is a much bigger operation than I realized, but it made for a good stop on the bourbon trail. There’s a small free museum showcasing the history of the brands they produce, and the gift shop is quite nice. I did a tasting of their grain to glass whiskeys that was a good introduction to the Heaven Hill brand. I wish I had done a full tour, but maybe I can do that another time. Either way, this is definitely a can’t miss stop on the bourbon trail considering...
We were provided with a cool lanyard with a bourbon glass attached and paired with a wonderful tour guide named Lindsey. The tour involved two Rick houses. In each rick house we were given 2 tastings. Our guide was excellent - very knowledgeable - but the bourbon was not the best tasting.
