The better OF the two Chinese food restaurants in Bardstown!! Got shrimp Egg Foo Young (3 large/dinner orders) and got home to find ALL 3 were totally burnt BURNT!!?? But I called them and the lady was a bit unhappy yet, I brought them back. And once I opened one to show her, she immediately agreed that SHE wouldn't be happy either. Agreed to also make all 3 over again!!!?♥️? So, NO complaints with that!! ?? My favorite place is actually in Etown though. But I'm not willing to drive that far just for Chinese food.? But this place will do in a pinch. (I just load up and eat leftovers for the week whenever I go TO my favorite place in Etown!!??♥️) But Hunan, here IN Bardstown, is definitely WAAAAAAAAY better than that other Chinese food place by Kroger!!? (Avoid THAT place at ALL costs!!?) Only complaint about ALL restaurants IN Bardstown is the they ALL close so early!!??? STILL have the old Covid "limited hours". Even on weekends they (Hunan) STILL close BY 9 pm!!? WISH they'd be open longer/later into the night. Maybe 11pm. Plus it's usually REALLY BUSY right AT closing time! So, THAT should prove TO them that they NEED TO stay open later!! (Just a BIG suggestion IF they read these!!?♥️?) Recommend if you are deciding BETWEEN the ONLY 2 options FOR Chinese food in Bardstown. Definitely DON'T go TO the one by Kroger!???) Just put your order in here well BEFORE 9 pm!!?
AND if the owners see THIS??? Please, please, PLEASE EXTEND your hours TO 11pm, especially/at least ON weekends!!?♥️?? Please????

My total bill was 27.53 with the .80 convenience fee since I only use a credit card. Few days later bill showed up as 29.53 when posted online. I never give tips when I stand up ordering my food. On the tip line I always put a “0” with a slash through it. Yet somehow/someway a $2 tip was added on my bill. I will visit you again and I will get my $2 back! That is guaranteed!! Ordered takeout on Mother’s Day

So we have eaten here one other time. My husband called the order in for pick up, and he hangs up the phone angrily and says “wow they’re SUPER happy today” sarcastically. I said was it that young American girl again? He said yes. I proceeded to let him know how she’s always extremely rude any time I’ve gone to pick up, call In etc. oh well.So then he goes and gets the food. Pulls it out. They didn’t give us the right stuff. We had ordered sweet and sour chicken and we got orange chicken ; which is what I had ordered last time and was entirely inedible and made me deathly ill within about 24 hours I was vomiting with stomach pains and the works. I tried to consume the orange chicken we were given but it’s sickly sweet and just doesn’t taste right. Huge mistake. Whether it’s the cold rice they send you home with, the recooked egg rolls or the orange chicken, I am once again glued to the toilet today. Woke at 4 am with vomiting and severe abdominal cramps. Will not be back. Worst Chinese food we’ve EVER had.Oh and $40 for one orange chicken and rice and another beef and broccoli? Wow. Absurd.

$50 for two meals with a convenience fee! (convenience is theirs, because I have a credit card, if I didn’t I’d eat somewhere else after I go to the bank if I’m desperate). And a $3 tip cuz I thought I would get served on a plate with silverware, but nope! Plastic fork and paper plates. (Very tacky). Mongolian beef and orange chicken tasted the same. One tiny egg roll and crab Rangoon tasteless!! Best thing was the white rice??‍♂️. Won’t be back.

Never in my life have I ever had sweet and sour chicken that snapped back when I would try and take a bite of it and had the texture of rubber . I'm not sure about their other options, but definitely would steer clear of anything with chicken in it unless you enjoy your chicken hard, stringy, and chewy.

The egg rolls have a great flavor but I think ours were old and refried. They tasted old and the temperature was inconsistent inside and outside . The rice was very skimpy for the price, and it was colder than I felt safe to eat … the orange chicken was “okay” but wasn’t hot … none of our food seemed fresh and none of it was hot. Not sure why. We waited 10 or so minutes in the parking lot , thought it was too fast… now I know why…

So excited that this place finally opened. Tried it the first week and it wasn't good. Flavor was weird and the rice was crunchy. Figured it was opening pains. Tried again and it was still not good. Guess we still won’t have a good Chinese place in town.

My husband grabbed dinner for us that I had ordered online and it wasn’t the best. The first time we ate here after they reopened it was wonderful but this time the food wasn’t fresh & tasted nothing like general tso or empress chicken.
