My Old Kentucky Dinner Train

Bill was out server and he was the highlight of the evening. Hands down. A close second was the steak...we ordered a 10oz ribeye to split. Delicious. Reasons for a lower score.... The sides were generous portions but not very flavorful, skip the lobster risotto unless you like bland. The ambiance was not very cozy, and the seating placement seemed almost like there was a server highway with off ramps to tables. Lighting was a bit bright and visibility into a noisy kitchen was not ideal. Overall, imo, there are a ton of other steakhouses that are fitting to the expected experience and locale. But it's always worth a shot!

Ben made the night AMAZING!!! His energy and suggestions about different food and drinks showed how knowledgeable he was about not only the restaurant but which dishes paired well with what. Rose was also amazing as she went above and beyond to provide us with additional services to make our visit more memorable! We will definitely be returning!!

One of the more expensive restaurants in Indianapolis but you get what you pay for. Service was excellent and the food was outstanding. The lobster bisque is the best I've ever had. The steaks were cooked perfectly and the sides were amazing. Highly recommend the potatoes gratin.

We celebrated Valentine's Day on a Thursday as vd day was on a Saturday and we already had plans. Our son suggested commission row for dinner and we decided to go. The valet was very nice as were the desk folks, Keven and a young girl. We had asked for a table away from the cold windows or door and we had just the right one! We enjoyed drinks and then lobster bisque for an app along with pop bread. Very good! Mrs. Had a filet and I had the rib eye, both medium rare and they were perfect. Nicely seasoned and juicy. Carrots were delicious. We also had a wedge salad with blue cheese dressing. Delicious. We finished with the spice cake with pineapple sauce. Not the most less expensive restaurant but it was grand. We'll be back!

It was our first time and we will definitely be going back. From the ambiance, to the service, food, and even special birthday dessert for my father in law. This place was wonderful and will absolutely be coming back!

Ben's service was top notch. New menu has some great additions: tuna tartare, Australian waygu and the beet salad were highlights .

Excellent experience for our company dinner party. Our server, Bill, had great recommendations and provided fantastic service on a busy night! The food was well prepared, generous sized portions, presented with fanfare was a lot of fun. Add to that a panoramic view of the courtyard in front of our table, comfortable seating, and overall great atmosphere lended itself to one of the best experiences we've had over the years. Thanks!

They were absolutely slammed before a concert and did all that they could to get us in and out. Fantastic food and professional service.

My wife and I had dinner here last night. Our visit was before a concert at Gainbridge. From our welcome to dinner to desert our experience was fantastic.

We enjoyed this experience!! The food and service were excellent and totally worth the price of the ticket!! The entertainment was fantastic as well…we enjoyed interacting with the “suspects” as we tried to figure out who committed the murder. One comment would be make sure you wear layers…the temperature fluctuated from warm to very chilly several times in the dining car throughout the trip. Other than that Top Notch!!

Outstanding service. We were at table 60 and MaKenna was just wonderful. Very personable and always checking on us. The food was outstanding as well. Beautiful train and the value well worth it. We went for our Anniversary and they left us a card and acknowledged it. Will definitely recommend!!!!

We took my parents and had a very nice time. The food was very good (halibut and short ribs), the service was excellent. We would definitely go back!
