Don’t overlook this gem when you’re on your bourbon tour it’s an incredible place. Small micro batch bourbon, and whiskeys that are to die for. You can taste the difference. and not to be forgotten our tour guide Amy made our trip extra special. Thank you.

The last stop on our bourbon trail trip and one of the family favorites! Quinten was an excellent host. He was very knowledgeable about the distillery operations, and overall we enjoyed his presence. The tasting included 6 samples, which is more than we received at any other distillery. The bourbon produced here is also one of my favorites! Make sure you try the winter maple!!

Preservation Distillery was fantastic! Our guide, Kate, was knowledgeable, explaining the whiskey-making process with enthusiasm, from grain to barrel. The tasting session was a highlight, offering a variety of flavorful spirits and expert insights. The setting was charming, and the gift shop had great finds. Highly recommend for whiskey lovers and curious visitors alike!

My husband and I spent a long weekend in Kentucky to celebrate his 60th birthday. As South Carolinians, we like to make an annual trip to Kentucky and visit the distilleries on the Bourbon Trail. We were finishing up our passport and happened upon this beautiful gem (yesterday) on what was ironically their first day open after their repairs and renovations. The customer service was absolutely amazing! We were treated like family. The grounds are beautiful and a place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Their products are unique and delicious. We cannot wait to visit again. While you are in the area, please stop by. You will not be disappointed!

We just did a tour and tasting with Amy at Preservation! We absolutely loved our experience and learning more about this place! Amy did a fabulous job telling us the history and background behind their bourbons and whiskeys! Highly highly recommend coming on a tour!!!!

Booked a tour with my husband and our good friend to celebrate our birthdays. This small operation shouldn’t fool you. The bourbon is excellent and the staff is wonderful!

Amy was our tour guide and she was so knowledgeable and friendly and went out of her way to make our birthday visit a special one. Quentin, behind the bar, was also a gracious host and we enjoyed chatting with him while tasting some more of their bourbons that weren’t included as part of the tour tasting flight.

The grounds also have a cat, Char, who enjoys all the attention and followed us during our tour.

This place embodies how I feel about the Bardstown area…come for the bourbon, stay for the people.

We went in for a tour today. Rachel was our tour guide and did a phenomenal job! This tour was the last tour we had for the craft portion of the Bourbon Trail. Couldn’t have ended it at a better place!

This is my favorite distillery tour so far -- a true craft distiller of some of the best and most unique whiskies in the world. They produce their products the old fashioned way using a pot still and lots of TLC. And unlike many distilleries, they have many of their top end offerings there for purchase in their gift shop. An amazing experience from beginning to end.
