By far the worst experience we’ve ever had with a Starbucks. Placed a mobile order at 10:39 AM 12/7/2025. The app stated the estimated time it should be done was 10:50. I approached the counter to ask about the mobile order at 11:10 to ask about our order. They said, “oh yeah, you guys are next.” Considering they didn’t even queue our order at that point, we were not. Not only did we not receive our order until 11:35, but none of it was made right the first time and only half was made right after they remade our drinks. Tell me why an ICED Americano would get hot water in it? The drink in the plastic cup was hot to the touch and the drink was immediately watered down due to the ice melting. Having previously worked for Starbucks, not once have I seen an iced americano be hot to the touch. It doesn’t make sense. The employee told us they don’t like to put cold water in an iced americano because it waters it down… apparently hot water waters down espresso more than cold water? This is possibly the dumbest logic I can remember hearing. The hot water literally melted the ice in the drink causing it to be more watered down - the thing that they apparently don’t want to happen. We were given an extra cup of ice to “fix” the already watered down drink. For the employees at the store, here is the instruction manual for a venti iced americano: Pull 4 shots of espresso, pour the shots into a cold venti cup, add ice to the cup, fill the cup with water from the tap (not the steaming hot water used for hot teas or HOT americanos.)
I’m aware this review sounds like it’s coming from a Karen, but this circumstance warrants a strongly worded review. Don’t go to this location if you value your time, money, or enjoyment of coffee.

Slow slow slow
Ordered an Americano with a splash of sweet cream on the mobile app. I didn't check it before I left. When I got on the road, it was a venti sweet cream drink. I'm not exaggerating like there was a lot of cream in my coffee, there was zero coffee in there. It was completely white...not even a little bit brown from coffee. This is probably the fifth incorrect drink I've had there.
I placed two orders to get our red cups and had cardboard cups when picking up my order. The baristas were busy with customers so I didn’t fuss but I was disappointed we didn’t get our reusable cups since we collect them each year.
I don’t see a way to contact the store and ask either.

I’ve tried to give this location several chances but I will never return. The staff is exceedingly rude, and every time I have waited for over 45 minutes for my order. The only good thing is that the employee named Mikey makes delicious drinks

I don't go there.
I must've passed one.
I don't drink coffee
This was maybe the worst coffee experience I’ve ever had. I’ve had plenty of Starbucks in other Krogers so there is zero excuse for these employees.
If they were trying to make the drinks and struggled that’s one thing, but they were standing around on the Starbucks phone and chit chatting with each other.
There was a rude customer who complained how long it took. After the customer left, instead of going to help the next folks in line, the employees ranted to each other about the guy being rude for several minutes.
It felt like the employees weren’t trying hard at all. Please move these employees to a different job in the store.

Ordered a Frappuccino, received the orange drink on the right first. We took a sip, and there was absolutely no coffee or anything besides the pumpkin and milk and ice in the blended beverage. We took it up to the counter and the barista “informed” us it’s not in Starbucks recipe book to put coffee in a Frappuccino. Absolutely absurd and untrue. She also insisted the use and instant coffee and it doesn’t have much taste? But there’s caffeine? We had them remake it, and that’s what the drink is on the left, and it tasted decent. Why wasn’t that done the first time? This was the second terrible trip in two weeks, first time we waited for nearly 45 minutes for our drinks, which also didn’t include coffee but we left because it had taken so long. If you’re in a rush or have other things to do for the next two days, avoid this Starbucks 😒

This location is VERY slow. They only staff one employee during morning rush and show no urgency in making orders. A group of students were standing waiting for their mobile order for almost an hour.

This location is the absolute worst. Service is horrible. I’ve waited over 20 min for an online order. Bardstown needs a new Starbucks.

Where to start… first off I do realize that working in the food service industry is not easy and people can be rude. This location is always very busy with only about two employees that know how to make drinks. The past few times I have visited, the person working the register is very incompetent. They have no idea of the names of the drinks offered so in turn don’t know how to ring up the drink. No fault of the employee but probably more training is needed. I am kind of annoyed that when I’m paying upwards of $5-$10 for a drink and little effort is put into make sure it’s made correctly. Two times I have ordered an iced drink with a Carmel lined cup only for it to come out hot. I politely let them know, not a big deal, but they just pour the hot drink into a cup with ice and pass it back to me. I definitely think more management and more training is needed at this location.
This Starbucks is inside a Kroger and ran by Kroger employees. They do the best the can but are in desperate need of more help. Typically, there is one maybe two workers and a line of people, not to mention app orders.

They will shot down service 30 minutes to 1 hour earlier, and apologize with smile like nothing is happened. This kind of starbucks location is not suppose to exist.

Very poor customer service. Just waited 30 minutes for my coffee while staff stood around and chatted about pictures on their phones. Who is monitoring these people?
