We ate at the Old Talbot Tavern restaurant on a Sunday night in June. The customers were a mix of tourists and locals. We had burgers which were very good and cocktails. Both were good, but not change your life good. Drinks were small but appropriately priced. We would go back but maybe not my first choice.
Stopped in for lunch while touring the bourbon trail. Very few parking spots in front but there was street parking available. Just be prepared to walk a block or two. We were promptly seated. Waiter came over to take our order rather quickly, which was fine, we were starving. Ordered an Old Fashioned and iced tea. Old Fashioned was one of the smallest I've ever had, being in the heart of bourbon country I definitely expected a true OF not a splash of bourbon over ice.....
So beautiful and full of history. And the food was beyond what I expected. When we go visit again we are going back. I want to stay in the rooms above the restaurant. Or in the jailhouse inn next door. Or both shoot.
