So beautiful and full of history. And the food was beyond what I expected. When we go visit again we are going back. I want to stay in the rooms above the restaurant. Or in the jailhouse inn next door. Or both shoot.
The building is very interesting. We ate at the restaurant. My wife had the salmon and loved it. I had the bourbon walnut chicken with a baked potato. It was basically fried chicken covered in maple syrup (or chicken and waffles without the waffles). My baked potato was cold and gray...too cold to melt sour cream. I wouldn't recommend it.
We are traveling from Milwaukee to Savannah and stopped over in Bardstown for a day. We enjoyed a wonderful evening and meal here. Bethany was an amazing server. The cocktails from the oldest bourbon bar in town were excellent. Our favorite parts of the meal were the cheddar biscuits and the yummy fried green tomatoes!
