We spent three days in Louisville/Bardstown and The Bar at Willet was the best place of the whole trip. This is in no small part to our excellent bartender Luciano. We split a few different items on the menu but definitely get the egg salad sandwich. They have a few different fancy food items but they are all approachable and tasty. Just wow! We already have a crush on Willet for their distillery products and such beautiful grounds, but The Bar gave us a whole new appreciation for them!
We had two seats at the bar, and the bartending staff, servers, and chefs were all phenomenal. The food menu changes each day and is served tapas style. I have to talk about the chicken wings, the cheese selection (although simple) but especially LUCIANO at the bar. It was the best thing about the place, it made us feel like we were retracing the history of the place… thanks to it we bought 3 more bottles. Excellent place, food and service!
