Uncle Spoony's Sports Bar & Kitchen

If I could give 0 stars I would! My girlfriends and I were in Bardstown last Thursday to Saturday. We got in after 4 and saw it was within walking distance from Bardstown Motor Lodge. We got there and it was closed, no note, nothing. I even went by it the next day around the opening time and it was still closed.

Sounds to me the place has closed for good.

Uncle Spoony's was the perfect place for our group dinner for our annual NASR motorcycle rally. The food was out of this world delicious and the staff was very gracious and accommodating. Uncle Spoony showed up later to our annual charity auction and brought us more chicken, which was devoured, no problem. Thanks for a great meal experience...

Its hard to put into words my experience here. I was hosting a gathering in Bardstown and needed to arrange Tue night dinner. It was only by luck that I found Uncle Spoony and his place. He agreed to close off the bar for our event and provide the catering. It was outstanding! All the food was great but one thing to note is the fried chicken we ate that night. I have never had chicken that good in my life! It wasnt any kind of secret recipe but was all about the preparation. And our dealings with Uncle Spoony didn't stop there. This Air Force/Army vet met up with our group a couple times during the week and we are glad he did. He is an absolute asset to the Bardstown community and our group and I now consider him family.

If I'm ever in Bardstown again, I will definitely be eating at Uncle Spoony's. Best fried chicken ever. And he definitely knows how to take care of large groups.

Amazing food! Spoony is one of the best guys in the world. His hospitality towards his guest is unparalleled. And don’t even get me started about the fried chicken! The “Colonel” over at “the old spinning bucket” has been put on notice! Thanks again, my friend & see ya’ soon.

Uncle spoony’s was great! We rented the place out for my father retirement party. They were very accommodating and also catered the event. The food was amazing and plenty for our guest. Most of all they allowed us enough time to decorate ( not common in most venues).

Stopped at 2:20 pm on Saturday and it is closed. Please edit hours.

We had an amazing surprise birthday party for my husband on November 11th that we held at Uncle Spoony’s. It was the best experience and the MOST AMAZING FOOD EVER! Every single one of my guest raved about how good the food was. Uncle Spoony and his team are the nicest and easiest people to work with. Any event I have in the future they will be doing. I highly recommend them for any of your catering needs!

This is a must visit. The atmosphere is laid back and chill. Conversation is king, and Uncle Spoony, himself, is quite a conversationalist. Get the fried chicken. It is really, really good. I ate green beans, and I don't even like green beans, or at least I thought I didn't.
