This is the third time I've been on the tour at Willett--I was born and raised in Bardstown. Each time they've expanded the experience to make them more immersive and enriching for the guest. I came more for research purposes, as I'm finishing off a novel that touches on the life of a bourbon family and small distilling operation. And I walked away with a better idea of that as we move forward. Nick and company were amazing and their knowledge of the place was unparalleled.

This was our first visit to Willett Distillery, and Willett is one of my favorite bourbons so I was incredibly excited! I wrote in the comments when booking our tour that it was our wedding anniversary and they were kind enough to put us up on their chalkboard welcome sign! All aspects of the tasting, and the mini tour, were exceptionally well done. Starting with our fantastic tour guide Kevin, who had all of the Willett knowledge, and continuing through to a final gift of their special Bourbon as an anniversary present. Their gift shop is exceptional, and the grounds are simply beautiful! In my humble opinion, I wish they would open a small boutique hotel and I would love to stay there on my next trip. Their café is renowned to be gourmet, but we didn’t have time to stop and eat on this trip, but look forward to going back in the near future! Five stars, highly recommend!

Mary was phenomenal. Informative and knowledgeable. One of the best distillery tours I’ve ever experienced. And I’ve developed an appreciation for Willett’s whiskeys. Don’t miss this one.
