Their hours are on the earlier side, but if you need a hearty meal at a steal of a price then check it out. If you catch their breakfast (before 10:30, I believe), their homemade gravy is really good. They do not accept credit or debit cards. There's an ATM at Huck's across the street or the bank a few blocks south.
I don't think this would be a good pick for vegetarian or vegan eaters. There are lots of vegetable side items but I wouldn't count on them being free from bacon fat, bacon, butter, etc.
Parking: I recommend backing in to park if you can, it's not fun to back out onto a busy highway.

Discovered this gem on our way back to Illinois. Service was wonderful and food was to die for. Everything you could want in a small town southern diner. Looking forward to going back.
