Great service, vintage NKY tavern feels, family friendly, generous portions of entrees and sides that were prepared to delight. We came tonight for first try to see if Yelp reviews were accurate. We have lived 2.4 miles away for almost 25 years and barely noticed this place. It is now our secret place to explore the menu offerings. It is Friday and so we tried the special.... the large fish on rye with lettuce, tartar, and grated cheese, and it was great. We both chose the coleslaw vs. stewed tomatoes plus the included Mac and cheese. Come hungry as you will not want to leave any on your plate as it was delicious. We both had a beer for our beverage, and that seemed appropriate in this traditional tavern setting. We plan to come back and try all the Monday thru Saturday specials.

Great neighborhood bar !!!!The kind of place I like to take my dinner break. Bacon cheeseburger was very good, and my plate was covered with golden brown fries. It's real burger too. I'd eat here every day if I could.

Went for the food and was not dissapointed. If your looking for fancy not your spot. If your looking for good food, pool table and even a couple of slot machines you should stop by the Loyal.
Been going there for years. Good good eats in the pub house tradition. Try a loyal burger, bowl of barley soup and the hot slaw with a sweet n sour house dressing diced bacon and sweet onion heaped on top of fresh and chilled iceberg lettuce yummo!
