We tried Bert’s in Lexington on Liberty Road for lunch. They have a great menu with different grilled cheese sandwiches and soup. The food was fantastic! Give it a try!

Used Bert's SpeakCheeszy for my wedding in April could not recommend more!! The owners are so nice and easy to work with. They made our day so special. Everyone keeps telling me how amazing the Tomato Soup was months later. We went into the store to taste test and pick our menu and had the best time. Their food is to die for!!!

⭐️⭐️ – Still Love This Place, Just Hoping for a Comeback
I’ve always loved Bert’s SpeakCheezy — it’s been one of my go-to spots for a while. Lately, though, the quality hasn’t quite been the same. Even when it’s not busy, the wait has been long, and my Hosty Totsy had barely any filling this time, which was disappointing. I know they’ve got a new location (so happy for them!), but I really hope the Berea one gets back to the amazing food and consistency we all fell in love with

This place has warm cozy vibes and the staff was super friendly. I got the Hotsy Totsy which is buffalo chicken on grilled cheese. It was delicious!!! Unfortunately the pasta salad I got was undercooked and rather hard. Otherwise a great experience!

The new location is just awesome. The staff is always super friendly and inviting and the food is really good. Brought my parents in from out of state and they loved it as well.

Since Papaleno's was closed on Sunday, I decided to walk around the corner and give this a shot. I will say, the vibes/atmosphere is VERY appropriate for a restaurant on Berea's campus. It definitely fits right in with the artsy nature of the place, and I suspect the students love it. It's hard to last around there because you have some staples that just far outstrip everything else, but this I feel like has a decent chance to maintain for a while. Anyways, the vibes were right and the food was solid. Not like blow you away amazing, and the prices were flirting IMO on the higher end comparative to what you get, but a decent option nonetheless. I got their most popular grilled cheese which had pulled pork on it. Pretty tasty! Just a bit small since it was on regular white bread, and potato chips come on the side. If you have never been, and you're looking for like a lunchy sort of hangout spot with your pals, this could definitely fit your needs. The seating is kind of neat, featuring lounge chairs and stools and coffee tables rather than conventional dining arrangements.

I love the food here and the service is very good as well. But, there a a few reasons I just can’t go 5 ⭐️. 1st off, I don’t like not having a menu that I can sit down and read through and then I have to make-n-pay for my order up front and then they ask for a tip. 2nd, they are always out of something it’s either tomato soup or their dessert!! You would think they could plan ahead better!!

Beetz's is right down from the Boone Tavern, and a great spot for something unique. We got 2 types of sandwiches, their tomato soup, and pasta salad. Both sandwiches were so yummy! Tomato soup had great flavor. The pasta salad had good potential, but it was a little dry for most of our group. Everyone was nice, but food does take a little bit to get. My chai and the coffee one person in our group got were both good. Love that they carry pure cane sugar sprite! Worth the wait though. We ate outside, because it's a little dark inside. Will definitely be back again.

The food here is so so good and I usually love coming the man that got my food was amazing! But the lady behind the coffee bar kinda sucked… I asked if I could get a coffee but I ended up leaving without one the whole thing was really awkward the man that gave me my food would have loved to help but said only she could because it was 2 different systems but she just stood there like I was stupid kinda……

The atmosphere, art, and period style decorating is amazing! And the food is exceptional. I love the tomato soup and grilled cheese, it’s my favorite, but their other dishes are delicious as well! I highly recommend!

I can’t leave a food critique because they never could get opened at the Woodland Art Fair.
Every vendor was open and selling food, and Betts Speakcheesy was in an argument with visitors behind the food truck.
It’s now about 1pm and they still haven’t started taking orders.
Hang it up guys, you’re not quite ready.
