Historic Boone Tavern is a beloved destination for a special evening out. The Crafted dining room offers an inviting atmosphere and superb food, with a menu that features standout dishes like the deviled crawfish dip, beet salad, and "birds nest" chicken dinner. The ham and pimento cheese Fritters (or "hush puppies") are also a must-try. The service is attentive and friendly, with servers going above and beyond to ensure a great experience. Guests have noted the farm-to-table concept, with Berea students working alongside skilled chefs and a dedicated wait staff. Recent visitors have enjoyed excellent meals, including the crawfish dip and unique dishes like mushrooms over grits. While some feel the atmosphere has changed, the Tavern remains a solid choice for a memorable meal, with a beautiful setting and good people-watching nearby.
