I’ve been here a few times. Food is basic, although meats are good. The people are kind. However, the news & commentary station they have on the TVs all the time makes this place unwelcoming.
Everything was great. Nice lady served me well.
We were on our way back from an all-day outing and saw this spot dinner. Our family of 5 all decided to give it a try. It wasn't busy, maybe 1 other family when we walked in. They had a buffet, but I chose to eat from the menu. The rest of my crew(hubby and 3 kids) at from the buffet. I chose the fried green tomatoes and grilled veggies. Smokehouse Grill and Buffet is a cozy and huge restaurant that offers a buffet and menu options. The salad bar is fresh and delicious, and the fried green tomatoes and grilled veggies are tasty. While the price may be a bit high, the staff is extremely nice and the atmosphere is pleasant. The restaurant is locally owned, reasonably priced, and provides a comfortable down-home dining experience. The new chef ensures that the food is fresh, hot, and satisfying. Although the restaurant may need some updates, it is a great stop for a wayside meal without the rush of chain restaurants. The wheelchair accessibility is convenient with level parking and easy access to the entrance.
