Gigi’s Cupcakes is one of those hidden gems that not everyone knows about. My partner introduced this place to me about a month ago and we went back today and knew I should write a review on it. Last time we got the red velvet macarons, I’m not a big fan of red velvet but I thought these were so good. Today we picked up a red velvet cupcake and a confetti cupcake. Everything was good and would highly recommend to everyone. You should definitely try them about if you haven’t already.

This was my first time trying Gigi’s so I decided to try a large cupcake and the mini cupcakes. Now, personally I absolutely ♥️ frosting! So, if you’re not a frosting fan, these will be too sweet for you. I tried the salted caramel, lemon, strawberry, wedding cake flavor and birthday surprise (with sprinkles). The strawberry and lemon were my favorites ? The smaller ones are easier to eat and the overall balance of the cupcake and frosting works better with the mini vs larger one. To sum it up, I will stick with the mini’s ?I’ll have to try their macaroons another day as well ?

Customer service is an issue. I walked in and seen that no one was at the register which is fine considering places are understaffed. However when the young girl came to the front to help me she seemed pretty annoyed and emotionless. I’m not asking for you to be hyper when a customer walks in but I definitely don’t want to be helped by someone who is the equivalent of the sad character from Inside Out.

This morning, I decided to visit this establishment and explore their cupcake offerings. I ended up choosing seven cupcakes, including flavors like strawberry cheesecake, snickerdoodle, and cookie butter. To my surprise, the total cost came to around $35 for the seven cupcakes. While the price was higher than expected, I was determined to give them a try.
On my way home, I indulged in the snickerdoodle cupcake. It was enjoyable, but I couldn't quite justify the $5 price tag. Additionally, the service I received was somewhat lacking customer service quality. The lady who assisted me seemed indifferent, possibly in need of her morning coffee. During the selection process, she didn't fully grasp my preferences, and attempts at small talk were met with minimal engagement.
Overall, I would rate the customer service a two out of five and the cupcakes a three out of five. Although they might be suitable for parties and celebrations, the high cost deters me from considering a return visit for casual cupcake enjoyment.

The mini cupcakes that I picked up on a whim for my Dad’s birthday were a resounding success & delicious, as were the specialty cupcakes I bought too. It was well worth the value to me when you consider the variety I offered my crowd, the personal prep time saved by me, the efficiency for serving mini cupcakes compared to a full sized cake, and clean up was a breeze. Oh, and the staff was exceptional. I will be back.
