We enjoyed the steaks, sampled several sides and deserts. Everything was delicious!!! My favorite was the bread with the cheese and honey, I could have made a meal out of it alone. The beer cheese and the pimento, country ham wontons were delicious as well. Several Broadbent products were incorporated into the selections. All of those were outstanding. Great Experience! Loved our waitress and beautiful atmosphere!

Final Finish

We reserved the Chef's table for an employee appreciation celebration. Tyler was our chef and Jordan was our server. They were both phenomenal. The presentation we received and the amount of food plus the quality of the food was incredible. We had 14 people and every single one of us had the best time, a memory our employees wont forget. Highly Recommend Hickory and Oak, and the Chef's Table!

Everything about Hickory & Oak was above and beyond our expectations. Arrived a little early, no problem, our table was waiting. Jordan was our server and he was top notch. Explained all of the details and made recommendations. We started with a couple of drinks, Old Fashioned was outstanding (a large variety of bourbon to choose from) then on to appetizers. Focaccia, wonton and pretzels with beer cheese. Wontons were by far the best, focaccia came in a close second and the pretzel and beer cheese and smoked sausage dip was 3rd, only because the cheese was cold and we prefer warm but the taste was very good. Next up we had an 8 oz filet and 16 oz boneless ribeye. Both were cooked to absolute perfection and melted in your mouth. Added some garlic/onion butter and it was delicious. We only have one side which was loaded mashed potatoes and they were very good. Jordan tried to talk us into the dessert special which was a banana split tower. Regrettably we did not ordrr it (we were stuffed) but I was able to get a pic. Definitely 5 Stars all around and will go back if we are ever back in Bowling Green.

From the moment we walked through the doors at Hickory and Oak, we knew we were in for something special—and that was thanks in large part to Shane. His level of professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail turned an already incredible dining experience into something truly unforgettable.

Shane was not only knowledgeable about the menu and wine pairings, but he delivered every recommendation with genuine enthusiasm and confidence. It was clear that he takes pride in both the food and the guest experience. He anticipated our needs before we even had to ask and checked in just the right amount—never hovering, always present.

What really stood out was Shane’s ability to make us feel like we were the only table in the room, even though the restaurant was busy. From start to finish, his service was seamless, polished, and delivered with a kind, welcoming energy.

Hickory and Oak is lucky to have someone like Shane on their team. We’ll definitely be back—and we’ll be asking for him by name!

I ordered a medium 8 oz filet, it was medium well, and tough meat. It was the worst filet I have had in years. The mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts were very good.

The Mrs and I enjoyed our visit to Hickory & Oak. We had a reservation, and next time, I'll have to request a booth or standard table. The Mrs is not fond of high top tables. Our server was on his game and suggested several items off the menu that was really good. We started with the skillet cornbread, it was good however just a little too sweet. I had the bourbon steak which was so good. The Mrs opted for the pork tenderloin it was cooked to perfection. We also requested a side of Brussel Sprouts. The Mrs tried the rich girl drink and she loved it. All in all it was a wonderful evening out and we really enjoyed it!!

My wife and I went here for our anniversary. It was our first time here, and it did not disappoint. Shane, our server was amazing, and the food was incredible. My wife said her lemon drop martini was the best she ever had. We would highly recommend you try it for yourselves.
