Absolutely amazing. Nice, calming atmosphere. Food is AMAZING. The seafood teriyaki is possibly the best thing I've ever ate. The crab meat melts in your mouth and the shrimp is delicious. Service was fast and friendly. Definitely recommend this place. Prices are very affordable. For $40 we got 2 drinks, an appetizer, the teriyaki seafood plate, 2 sushi rolls and one of them came with an extra lobster tempura. Delicious!!

Tried dialing in a take out order. Seems simple enough, right? WRONG!! Their phone number was busy for a solid 40 minutes. This is not the first time this has happened with them. I placed my order at one of their competitors who provided great service and food. All they had to do was answer my call. They lost my business forever.

It's wonderful that there's someplace local to get sushi! Most of the food was terrific, and those sweet carrots are so tasty!

Be aware that "chicken fried rice" isn't the way you're probably picturing, and was rated as just "fine" by the person eating it.

I personally wish they had gluten free soy sauce available. I brought my own, but it would be lovely not to have to.

Service was very slow in the beginning, waiting for our order to be taken. Fine otherwise.

Atmosphere star off for a far too loud TV playing sports games, and a restroom that smelled horribly of sewage (there was no visible mess).

We'll definitely go back, but it's not a rave review.

After a couple visits, I’ve sorted my thoughts on Ichiban. Atmosphere is welcoming enough, restaurant layout is a little weird. Service is a tag-team effort as you’re likely to interact with at least 2-3 people between ordering, receiving items & getting the check. This sometimes leads to things taking a little longer, but this is minor. The food is good, freshly prepared and prices are very fair for the portion sizes. Sushi is decent, but I prefer the hibachi & noodle dishes. Overall, Ichiban is a solid option for Japanese style meals ✌?

Came here kind of later on a Saturday date night. It was empty but there was a festival going on so that might have been the reason. We ordered a sushi boat for two and some cold saki.

Pros:
1. The service was great! Very friendly folks here. I hate that we stayed until closing but they were very accommodating.
2. The sushi was very fresh. The spicy squid salad was quite good.
3. The presentation of the boat was pretty.
4. The menu had a good selection and prices seemed decent.

Cons:
1. The saki wasn't the best but it was saki.

Overall, I would go back if I'm on that side of town.

Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options.

Food was pretty good, sushi was decent, but the service was just terrible.
I’m a server of two years, I know what good and decent service is, even when it’s busy I understand how it can be.
However, when my husband and I were basically ignored after we got our food and drinks and waited again for our check, it’s just sad.
She didn’t even greet us , just asked us what we wanted to drink, got our drinks and asked us if we were ready to order. Someone else brought us our sushi and entrees and we were never checked on after that until she noticed we were done with our food to take our plates away and we promptly asked for our check.
Like I said, I would understand if they were busy, but there was about 5 tables in there and another server as well.
Probably won’t be going back to this location, we have been coming since before the tornado and too many bad experiences have happened after they opened back up to keep trying again for a better experience.
