⭐☆☆☆☆ — Come for the free soup, stay for the gyoza… then leave before the sushi ruins your night.

If disappointment were an art, Kyoto Gardens would be the Louvre. I walked in expecting a sushi experience and left questioning my life choices. The sushi? I’ve had better from a gas station next to a bait shop. It was the kind of meal that makes you nostalgic for prepackaged grocery store rolls and a sense of trust in humanity.

But let’s not be entirely rude — the gyoza? Chef’s kiss. I’d fight someone in the parking lot for another order. And the free soup? I don’t know what’s in it, but it tasted like a hug from a grandma who never learned what sushi is and doesn’t want you to, either.

Final thoughts: If you’re craving sushi, go to literally any other place with raw fish and a dream. But if you want good dumplings and a free existential crisis? Kyoto Gardens is calling your name.

The food isn’t very good quality. The sushi was decent. I really enjoyed the soup. However, the steak was completely unacceptable. You can’t bill yourself as a steakhouse and have mushy, chewy steak. My wife got the shrimp, and it was decent. Prices are reasonable, service is good, people are friendly, but you seem to have to know what to order to have a good experience.

I do not recommend coming here. This was the first and last time I’ll be going. The food was not good at all. Got the chicken hibachi which was very bland and very soupy. Got a sushi roll as well and it had a terrible after taste like bad fish. Couldn’t even finish it. This place was not worth the 40 dollar bill.

Worst sushi I've ever had, it was ALL cooked and flavorless. The hibachi and lo mein had decent flavor but extremely small amount of meat.

Food was TERRIBLE. Absolutely no flavor. The "soup" tasted like soy sauce water. I ordered the scallop habachi. They took 3 whole scallops and cut them up into quarters. I had to find the scallops mixed in with the vegetables because they didn't even look like they were on the plate. The rice was awful. No flavor. Sushi was awful. No flavor and so much sauce.

The restaurant was HOT. I had to take my baby out of her long sleeves and jeans and change her to a onesie because I was afraid of her being miserable and overheated. The bathrooms were DIRTY. It was just awful. Avoid at all costs!

Worst food I have had in years, atmosphere terrible. The food did not taste good at all. The restaurant felt like the air did not work, it was dirty, and the bathrooms needed tlc.
