We had the pleasure of dining at Lava with out-of-town guests, and we were thoroughly impressed. The staff was incredibly attentive, and the menu offered a fantastic selection of delicious dishes. The host went above and beyond to enthusiastically share a variety of options with us, ensuring we had a memorable experience. It was evident that the staff genuinely cared about making our visit exceptional. We're so glad everything went smoothly, and our guests had the opportunity to experience the great international food and warm hospitality of Bowling Green.
Food was delicious, but we had to wait for food for over an hour. It is worth it if you have a lot of time to wait for food.
Excellent food and service!
I can’t fathom what all the positive reviews are for. We walked in on a Saturday and was greeted by a 9 year old, who told us to follow her and then ran off. We picked our own table out of the empty restaurant. There were TVs everywhere so we asked if we could watch the game, but nobody knew how to work them. A nice girl came and asked if we’d like to order anything, but we hadn’t been given a menu. I asked her what the best thing on the menu was and she said the burgers and pizza were good. That should have been the first warning sign. Who suggests burgers and pizza at a Mediterranean restaurant? We ordered an appetizer and 3 meals. My husband’s meal arrived first, a pasta dish which tasted like hamburger helper. My daughter got her chicken nuggets which she said was good. Then we got our appetizer. 20 minutes later I got my meal, but I was already full from the appetizer and my husband sharing his with me. I would have told the server to not bother to bring it, but we hadn’t seen her for 20 minutes. These seem like mistakes a new restaurant would make while they’re working out the kinks, but this restaurant has been open for a while now. I don’t understand how they remain in business.

This is some of the best Mediterranean food I've had in Bowling Green, not to mention some of the best staff, between the cook, The bartender, the staff, even the dishwasher. I've had the best experience here. My family and I will be eating here once a week. Shout out to Sammy.

Oh my! This is a must try! I went early in the day around 3:30 pm. There was no wait. The service was amazing! I am new to town and they welcomed me and gave me great ideas! The food was so delicious I got a gyro salad and the meat was so good. Dressing was spot on and very reminiscent of my stay in Greece. I also had the spinach dip as an appetizer and it was delectable! The building was also really cute and fun! Highly recommend!

We were in Bowling Green for the Corvette Caravan. Restaurant had a 4.6 rating and we thought we would try it. 6 adults and 4 children. We waited over an hour and got 2 dinners, 15 or so min later got 4 more meals, 10 min later got one more, 10 more min and got the final meal. It was the absolute worst experience for food ever. 2 tables in restaurant at 2 pm and Our server brings the wrong 2 meals to start with. Then our wait for sub par food. I asked for receipt that showed tip and she gave me something but we were with friends and I didn’t look. They jacked up the tip on final bill. NEVER GO THERE!!! Horrible!!!!

Our whole experience was wonderful from start to finish. The food is Delicious. The cocktails are divine. The atmosphere is cozy and warm. We met several of the staff, all were kind and informative, as this was our first time experiencing a new cuisine and culture.

Got food from there and the taziki was spoiled and looked like milky water, it tasted worse, the gyro meat was grey and old tasting.
