Chicken teriyaki bowls were awesome. Large bowls and very filling. Yum yum sauce was ok but to me took away the grilled flavor of the chicken. Lots of chicken in the bowl too, more than I expected for the price.Vegetarian options: Veggies or tofu options for bowls

Paid $7 for a bottle of teriyaki sauce and got a to-go cup filled with teriyaki sauce with the lid taped on one side. The guy handed it to me in a plastic bag and never once mentioned it. I'm lucky it didn't spill all over my car. We also don't get actual food from here anymore because on multiple occasions we've found brush bristles in the rice. Very overpriced

The worst Shogun in bowling green. Seems to be family ran. Everyone looks a like and don’t care too much about running the store appropriately. So tired of this place. Food under cooked. No utensils to eat with. Over charged. Just awful. In the recent years they’ve went down hill to me. And they use spaghetti noodles.. lol

VERY rude when taking order. The food is wonderful, but the man who took my order was being sarcastic and trying to make me leave so he didn’t have to work. Very upsetting since this is my favorite place to eat.

There was hairs embedded in the rice on my sushi roll. I had always heard bad things about this location but hadn’t experienced it for myself until now.
Well I would have given 5 stars, if the guy working the register was nicer and less sarcastic. I am new to bg, and have never been to shogun, but when I went in and asked for a menu, the cashier said quote “ma’am it’s 2024… the menu is on the screen above you.” Whether or not he was joking, I expect at least an older man to have better customer service…

4.45 starsGood trip to Sho Express. Got a text message for a good deal of the day and decided why not. Staff was helpful and attentive. Place was clean. Chose a chicken teriyaki bowl and a tempura fried shrimp roll. Bowl was out at my table within a minute of sitting down and was very hot and tasty. More rice than anything, but the chicken and veggies were good. The roll was not what I was expecting but was very tasty as well. With that said.. the deducts came from the menu selection in general. The sushi choices are mostly of low shelf ingredients like cream cheese and maybe a single salmon choice. The poke bowl to my disappointment was only a lump of either raw tuna or salmon with no veggies or rice or seaweed salad for $17, which are options for sides mind you. An expensive mid level option overall.
