Spencer's Coffee

Wow! Stumbled upon this gem of a coffee shop and I couldn’t be more impressed. The Standard breakfast sandwich is fire and the dirty chai is life altering. We will be back!!!

Good drinks, not so good service on multiple occasions

Today was my last visit to Spencer’s on the bypass. There is a petite, brown-haired female employee who is consistently rude. Every interaction I’ve had with her feels like it’s a burden for her to take my order. She speaks with a smart remark or dismissive attitude every single time.

For example, today I simply asked if my daughter’s hot chocolate had been sitting for a while—which it clearly had. Instead of a polite answer, I got sarcasm and attitude. She shook her head, spoke in a condescending tone, and acted as if I was out of line for even asking. That is unacceptable customer service.

I have been a regular customer, stopping in 3–5 times a week, either dining in or using the drive-thru. Unfortunately, because of this repeated unprofessional behavior, I will not be returning. Employees like this drive loyal customers away and hurt a business’s reputation. I’ll also be sharing my experience with family and friends to caution them about visiting.

We were traveling through from out of state when our car broke down and we ended up staying here in town overnight. We saw this place in the morning and decided to check it out - we tried their dirty chai and their “Huckleberry Ben” iced tea lemonade and they were both so delicious! We also enjoyed their signature coffee cake and the Breakfast Bowl. The staff seem friendly and polite! If we ever find ourselves in town again we’ll be sure to be back.

The best coffee in Bowling Green! It’s consistently good. It’s my go to when I want coffee on the go or if I want to go enjoy their peaceful cafe environment! The employees are always so nice and helpful for suggestions if I can’t make up my mind. The Iced Ubano is my favorite summer seasonal drink, a Huckleberry Ben if I’m feeling something light and a Vanilla/Caramel latte on all the other days!

the best chai latte I’ve ever had!! My husband got a drip coffee and he said it was delicious as well. We also got a blueberry muffin, 10/10! You have to get it warmed and it makes in phenomenal!!!

We came from out of town and were recommended Spencer's as a good local non chain coffee shop to hit on our way out of town. We had to travel the opposite direction to get there but are so glad we did. The staff was so friendly and accommodating, really worked with us to make sure we got drinks we enjoyed, and the coffee was amazing. So glad we took a little detour!

Absolutely the best local coffee shop in town! The parking situation at this location can be a bit difficult, but the pure quality of the drinks and food is BAR NONE! I will be back again and again for this blueberry muffin alone, absolute 10/10.

Simply put, Spencer’s is the best coffee in BG & it’s not even close. They’re the only true craft coffee shop & their drinks actually taste like coffee, not sugar or coffee milk like all the drive-thru options here (you know what I’m referring to 😏). Prices are very fair when compared to shops from bigger cities & I’ve never had a bad drink or experience with staff. My only slight gripe with this location is the parking lot can be challenging to get in/out depending on how long the drive-thru line is. Beyond that, any time I need a good coffee, Spencer’s is where I go✌🏻
