“No joke, best chicken-fried steak of my life. Worth the short drive from Cave City. As a Sooner, we almost didn’t stop because of ‘texas’ in the name but I’m so glad we did! Staff was great and took good care of us even as we were finishing up a little after they were closing from lunch.“

“🎄🍽️ We were so impressed with Ritter House catering our Christmas lunch. From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. The meal included ham, mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, rolls, and green beans, along with chocolate and butterscotch pie for dessert. Everything arrived warm, beautifully prepared, and absolutely delicious. The flavors were outstanding — comforting, rich, and clearly made with care. This was truly some of the best food we’ve had, catered or otherwise. You can tell there is pride and consistency behind every dish. If you’re looking to support a locally owned restaurant that delivers quality and excellence, Ritter House is a must. We will absolutely be using them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for an unforgettable meal!“

“We love the delicious fresh home cooked food. Every dish and dessert is delectable, but our favorites are the shrimp and grits, pork chops, the Tavern burger with curly Qs and good ole pinto beans and cornbread! But the special sauce is the love and friendship that Gabe and Susan pour into every guest that enters through their doors 😊 Highly recommend!“

“Awesome place! The atmosphere is welcoming, the people are friendly, and the food is delicious. This is one of the few places is the area that is vegan/vegetarian friendly... and they will accommodate to your dietary needs. I'd give it 6 stars if I could.“
