We visited off-season and found the property beautifully decorated for the holidays. We came to the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner.Breakfast included an assortment of pastries, breads, and muffins, along with a few fresh fruit options, yogurt and juice. I hosted a Hikerbabes VIP Retreat, and we spent the weekend hiking at Cumberland Falls. So, on Saturday night, after a full day of adventure, we ate at the Riverview Restaurant located inside the Lodge at the State Park. Sorry, no pics, I ate my food faster than it could be sat down in front of me!There was a convention, and they seemed understaffed, but we only had to wait about 30 minutes to get seated, and then service was QUICK! Food was excellent and the lady servers were wonderful. The place is nostalgic and great stories about the place. The very nice lady even told us some stories about a ghost and train station that some years ago had bank Robbie’s that robbed the train and people would come for miles to watch the robbers. I give a shout out to the lady that told the stories. She was from the area and her parents and grandparents worked at a sawmills and coke mines to make a living. I would go...read full review
