The food was great. The regular slaw was very good. My Sunday special of chicken fried chicken with country gravy was terrific. The other sides were all delicious as well. Good portions for both the meals we had. Great home style cooking. Beats Cracker Barrel's food.I scored low on atmosphere because of the way the workers were airing their work ethics among us customers. We showed up about 2 pm as the lunch crowd was finishing up and moving out. One worker told two new customers that she didn't know what she was going to do them, because she didn't see any clean tables, as if it was their fault they came there to eat. Then she proceeded to chew out other staff for not cleaning the empty tables. Maybe they were all having a bad day or they were wore out from lunch crowd. Made for a bad atmosphere to enjoy our lunch.Our waitress was excellent. She apologized for the delay in getting to our table (lunch crowd), and the made sure to check on us throughout our meal. We will try them again to see if it was just a bad day or their usual demeanor.
First time here and i have lived in the area all my life. The Salmon patties were the special and were delicious. Hubby had the liver and onions, his favorite!! Will definitely be back!! Great service and food out in a timely manner.

4/10/24 Arrived at the log cabin restaurant at 1:30 PM there was a large party in one of the side rooms .myself, and my sister were seated in another side room With two large parties of eight or more women who were finished eating And talking . They were extremely loud. We ordered our drinks promptly , After 15 minutes, no drinks finally another waitress come over and try to take our drink order again we told her the other girl had taken our order. She talked with her and finally bought her drinks and took our food order (One salad and one BLT) We did not have any straws. We waited another 10 minutes before we could see anyone to get us two straws by now. It is like Five minutes after two. I told the waitress Without being rude, it was the worst service I had ever had and I usually eat here once a week, She I then proceeded to get The lead waitress. The lead waitress was very aggressive and told me that I would just have to wait my turn and this was not fast food. At this point, we still did not have any food.. I told her that I get it, but my order was not that complicated and and I felt the service was bad.. She asked me if I would like to speak to the owner and I said yes. By then my sister had walked out and I waited for 10 more minutes for the owner to speak with me. He never showed up so I walked out also. Maybe this was just a bad day for log cabin restaurant, but for me, I will not return..

Recommend waking up early so you can beat the old people traffic. This place is the best ? got an egg sandwich every bit, just bacon and eggs. They break up the bacon perfectly to fit the sandwich, so every bit is a layer of bacon. And the biscuits must have how can biscuits be so fluffy and it wasn't dry.
Took my parents for their 58th anniversary and the waitress treated them like royalty, sent them on their way with cake for each of them for the anniversary Great time was had by all.
