Restaurante Tajumulquense Chapin is a true gem and a wonderful surprise, offering an unforgettable taste of Guatemala. It is a warm, family-run haven with a vibrant atmosphere that makes guests feel right at home. The place is very clean with a fresh vibe and pleasant, fun decor, though the dining room felt incomplete, likely a work in progress.

The food is absolutely extraordinary, authentic, and delicious, bursting with authentic flavor. Everything is really fresh, with large portions. Dishes like the fajitas, street tacos, and tacos such as the Campechano are fantastic. The homemade tortillas, especially the corn tortillas, are recommended. Other notable items include the burrito, Philly cheesesteak, steak fajitas, chicken/steak/beef tongue tacos, and the epic Torta. The guacamole is incredibly fresh and tasty, and the horchata is delish. The chips are nice and thin, crispy, and ok. Salsas taste fresh; the green sauce is delicious and very fresh, while the red sauce is super hot. The hot sauce is actually spicy and very good. A complimentary flan is sweet and enjoyed by many.

The staff is very kind, nice, and accommodating, appearing very proud of their food and providing genuine hospitality. Service is nice and quick. The environment is enhanced by a Latino live concert playing on the TV, though the music can be too loud. There is parking out front. It is a cultural experience and a place to return to again and again.
