“The food is terrific and so are the employees. The ice cream is fantastic. Whenever I’m in Harlan County this is the must stop place. This place has a great bear story and I love the t-shirts. I can’t say enough great things about the Hut. It’s so great it makes me want to move there. 😃“

“Our first—but if the Lord wills and we live to return, not our last!—dining experience within the Benham Schoolhouse Inn at the dinner Bucket was 100%A+ EXCELLENT! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed hot-out-of-the-oven chicken tenders, steamed broccoli, pork chop, and baked potato and a fresh salad as well as topnotch service! I had looked into staying over night here a few years ago when I saw it was just a bit too far off our itinerary to West Virginia, so I asked if we might be shown a room; we both agreed the restaurant and museums and other attractions of the area would make for a return trip with others we’d like to introduce to the area...maybe even an event big enough to warrant reserving the old gym turned ballroom!“
