Surely to meet an end like another eatery up the road. Entered the place, didnt really look clean. Along with no less than 6 other separate people or couples we waited to be seated in a maybe 1/3 full restaurant. We finally walked out and gave up. The other bad stars are for the last visits to an Applebee's. Give them a year and they'll fold up I bet.

The outside has more appeal than the inside. This last visit to Applebee's in Danville KY, was atrocious. Food was mediocre, appetizer came after our entree dinners, which one, the riblets dinner was like picking corn off a cob and smothered so deep in bbq sauce. Apparently that specific dinner had many complaints. Manager wouldn't leave the kitchen and the ticket was shockingly high. No dis on our waitress, as she was nice and apologetic.

Our time at Danville ky Applebee's was a shipwreck from the start. Dinners took forever. Appetizer came out about halfway thru our entrees. The pasta is a little dry, lacking sufficient sauces. The riblets dinner was a mess. Practically no meat at all and smothered in so much bbq sauce you didn't know what was under there. Manager refused to talk with us and the bill was almost $150 for 4 people, comped the riblets dinner and brought it down to $96, but still! Awful experience and awfully expensive for mediocre food.

Went to eat lunch at 12;45 on Monday 7/14/25. Us & 3 other couples walked away, couldn't get anyone to come seat us. Waited at least 5 - 8 minutes... at least they could have done was to tell us someone will be with asap. But no one even looked toward the front door!!!!

Ordered Carside to go and order showed ready for almost 15 minutes but no one brought anything out. I went in the restaurant and they had to ask where the order was and by the time I got it, it was already cooled off. So I went next door to Zaxby’s and ordered through the drive through and took my order home to reheat.

Arrived to a packed lobby, they were told no tables, they lost about 16 customers. There was plenty of seating, they may have been shorthanded, but with the plentiful empty tables was surprised that we were not even seated. There were customers wanting to do to go orders that were made to wait as well. They should have seated people and told them there would be a wait, they would have lost less costumers, although to be honest, it seems like they would not have been able to handle them anyway as the statement was made they were waiting for the kitchen to catch up. In addition, it was a bit warm and there were flies...the only reason we came was because we were given a gift card and it was just a reminder as to why we don't come here...

My husband and I stopped by on a Wednesday evening around 8 pm for the first time. We were on our way home to Somerset from Indiana. The place was not busy at all. I have never felt more unwelcome ever. There were at least 5 servers and a bartender. They all looked at us standing waiting to be seated. They either averted their eyes or simply walked away. Finally the bartender obviously said something to a server and she came to seat us. We had been standing there for at least 10 minutes. I wanted to leave but hubby said no. A different server came and took our order. She was friendly but didn't mention our wait. Our food took 35 minutes to arrive and they were not busy at all. Once again when food came no mention or apology for wait. The food was delicious. The other servers seemed to be having a bad evening. Lots of conversation going on and emotions seemed a little high. I actually have worked at Applebee's in my younger days and so have several members of my family. Believe me I know how it can be working at a restaurant. But there really is no excuse to make a patron feel like a nuisance and uncomfortable. This location is the closest one to my home but we will not be coming again.
