Food is always excellent, but service at the bar is always slow. Ot was after dinner hour. Place was quiet, np idea why so slow. But every single time, we have our salad and then wait over 20 minutes for entrees. OF the food wasn't so good. We would go elsewhere

I needed help from my wife to get a salad bar I'm a handy cap person. They tried to charge me for two salad bars to go when it was just one. I pass out from time to time. It's not a fun time for me then to deal with staff with this they suck

Mixed Experience for Gluten-Free Dining
We recently stopped for a meal on our way back to Rough River after delivering supplies to hurricane flood victims in Newport, TN. My wife has celiac disease, so we called ahead to confirm gluten-free options, and the staff assured us they take extra precautions.
I ordered a ribeye, which was decent—about a 7/10. The others at our table enjoyed their chicken wraps and pot roast, although the pot roast gravy was a bit bland. Overall, the food was good, but my wife had a more challenging experience.
She ordered the blackened salmon and loaded mashed potatoes, both labeled gluten-free. Despite confirming with the waitress about the need for careful preparation, she unfortunately had a reaction shortly after we left the restaurant. This was deeply disappointing, especially given our prior communication.
I urge the restaurant to improve their practices for gluten-free customers. It's crucial to take extra care when handling food for those with celiac disease. Our experience could have been much better with more attention to detail.
