It isn't every day one may eat Egyptian cuisine in little Danville, KY, but unfortunately the building has been sold. Hopefully, Tut's will reopen elsewhere in town because it's too good to lose.
Great service, great food, very fast. The bartender used fresh ingredients. It was nice to have spirits with a Mediterranean meal. Apparently, the other bartender knows a bunch of Mediterranean cocktails. Hopefully, I'll get a chance to return.
People were friendly and happy to serve you. My girlfriend and I were doing a Pup crawl in Danville for the humane society so only had the meatballs plus a cocktail. She had the guava margarita and I had a bottle of beer. Unfortunately the beer was out dated by a month. Other than that we had a great experience at Tut's restaurant. We will be back for sure.
What a unique and delightful lunch! Everything we ordered was delicious and SO flavorful!!! Portions are excellent and foods are fresh and come immediately from kitchen to table. Will definitely return to try even more delectable choices- food surprised us by being better than even the photos and outstanding reviews. We loved the Chicken , Shawarma, mom’s Moussaku, hummus, salad, falafel, and baklava.
Vegetarian options: LOTS of tasty vegetarian options and they seemed eager to accommodate changes to foods you wanted served a little differently.
Kid-friendliness: Friendly and interesting environment.
Parking: Parked by door for free.
Interesting food, but delicious. Warm, welcoming atmosphere. The owners are nice people.
The pandemic has been hard on restaurants and Tut’s is no exception. This used to be a great place (and still is) but they are having to build back their customer base amidst some new competition. Still good food and decent prices, but I think they waited too long to reopen. It’s worth the visit for sure if you like Mediterranean inspired food.
I would highly recommend this restaurant. This was our first visit and will definitely come back when in town. My lamb kebab was remarkable.
We were trying to pick a restaurant to try for our 37th Anniversary and decided to try Tut's, because we love Middle Eastern foods. It did not disappoint!Delicious Mediterranean/Middle Eastern foods! We had the Chicken Shwarma with Babba Ganoush & the Beef Shwarma with Hummus and an appetizer of Falafel balls & Tahini sauce. For dessert we had Baklava and a dessert with rice, that I didn't catch the name of.Everything was awesome!!We have already been telling others about the restaurant and we will be returning!!
Fantastic place to eat! My personal favorite is the lamb ribs. Highly recommend checking it out if you haven’t haven’t eaten here!!!
A wonderful change of pace in a small town. Fantastic service and food. I enjoy falafel whenever I can get it, and Tut's doesn't disappoint.
