So today is my mother-in-law's 84th birthday. She wanted a lunch from Back home. I ordered it ahead of time got there and had no problems getting the order. However, they charge for the credit card but OK that sucks. Then I get all the way to her assisted-living only to find out there was no pinto beans that she was really wanting, and they didn't even put in any of the bread for our workers. Then I get told that it's with the order so I wasn't charged extra and I'm like does that matter? I ordered a meal and I didn't get it like I wanted to and what I had paid for it so I got on the phone with manager and he basically told me to go to hell in more or less words. Said he wouldn't do anything about it other than me coming back to pick up beans next time I'm there. Won't never go there again I did ask for at least a $10 credit for not getting my complete order especially on someone's birthday Then he hung up on me….
We hosted our daughters graduation lunch here. It was nice and private and as always, delicious food!
Over all good restaurant but food is average. Atmosphere and Service was good. Corn Bread was good but just ok good. Pickle Burger the pickles were like tough pickles skins and the burgers were like frozen patties. I'd say try it but just my opinion.
Great place to eat. Our waiter was on point also. Went with a party of 5 and everyone loved their food. If you're ever out that way, give them a try. You won't be disappointed!

Interesting restaurant in Elizabethtown, KY. A pretty house on the corner that has been converted into a restaurant, gift shop and bakery. I got a HUGE salad with homemade dressing topped with grilled chicken. Delicious! Good service. Have to park a couple of houses down and walk down the sidewalk if the tiny parking area to the side is full. On the front there are steps to negotiate but on the side there is a ramp.

I loved this place. One of the top spots for good southern home cooking. I will definitely check this place out again the next time I am in town. Amazing food and great atmosphere with the best mash potatoes I think I’ve ever had.

Had dinner here with my daughter and mother after the Quilt Festival. The restaurant is in a charming old home and there's a great boutique upstairs. I had an open face roast beef sandwich, Mom had cod dinner and my daughter had chicken fried chicken. All of the food was absolutely delicious. Service was excellent and the food was served fairly quickly. I highly recommend. I also bought a great top in the boutique and my daughter got a nice dress. Will definitely eat there again if I'm in Etown again.

First time here and I have to say I was very impressed! The food was amazing and the service was fantastic! Trevon was an excellent server... everyone was nice and friendly from the moment we walked in the door. "BACK HOME" definitely lives up to it's name.

I was planning a drive through Elizabethtown, saw this on Google and thought I would give it a try (I treated my husband and Mom to lunch). The decor is nice and homey, I liked it. The waiter was exceptional. The food was good ol' homecooking for sure...tasty! However, we waited for over 45 minutes for 3 lunches which cost us major road time. Speaking about costing...3 lunches and 2 orders of fried green tomatoes to go was $85; I didn't expect that. Heads up, parking is challenging...it's a very, very small gravel space at the side of the restaurant. You won't know if the lot is full until you turn in...then it's too.late...you have to back out into a busy street (no turn around). This happened the first time trying to park. I really wanted to try the restaurant so I circled the building, found no other parking...church was in service across the street. Second time round found a spot. If you are wondering, this is not handicapped accessible...a walk through hilly gravel, across a small wooden bridge and across an uneven sidewalk. I would not eat here again because of the parking....just saying.

Our waitress was very friendly and made us feel welcome. My husband and I were passing through and love to try new places. The food was delicious, it reminded me of dinner with my granma. I will definitely be returning when we go this way.
