I've always been a fan of this restaurant but they are simply abysmal anymore. I carryout once or twice a month from this restaurant and I've now had 5.5 messed up orders on the year (and it's October). Today, I was not given my extra cups of queso that I paid $5 per unit (after they had lost my order when I went to pick it up). I called about it and they told me they'd have my two cups of queso if I came back to the restaurant. I got there and was given a bag with "extra chips and salsa" for my trouble. I walked out, checked the bag on the way to my car, and I was missing queso. Seriously? I had to go back in and wait to have my other cup of queso retrieved. No apologies or compensation.
Here's the thing: I've worked in food service and retail and I get that mistakes happen. However, this is 5 times I have been missing a whole portion of my order and the first time they messaged up the fix. Had I taken their word and gotten home to find it was wrong again, I would be certain to never give them my business again.
Don't waste your time or money ordering carryout from this place. They WILL mess up your order and they WON'T do anything to make it right on an acceptable level. Seriously. I guarantee I will not be contacted about this review. El Tap used to be great. It sucks now. It legitimately and unquestionably sucks.

Y’all, I am a regular here, and I LOVE IT! Jugo is my absolute favorite worker! He always does a great job taking care of me and my family, so I totally recommend him! However, the rest of the staff do an excellent job too. This is my favorite Mexican restaurant.
This is the best Mexican restaurant in Kentucky, food is excellent, service provided by Marvin, Hugo , the entire staff is very good ,friendly, and fast. Excellent chefs. We've been eating there for 8 years, we have tried other Mexican restaurants this one is the best. Don't forget to please tip generously they work very long hours and deserve it. No, I am not family or friends truly a real customer.
