This review is for Speedway at Clinton Township, New Jersey.
I was traveling through from New York to Ohio on business, and had never stopped in New Jersey before. I had been traveling for 3 hours and pulled up to the gas pump. I decided to run in and go to the bathroom before coming back out to fuel.
An older female woman started yelling at me like I was committing the crime of the century and I had no idea what was going on. She started aggressively yelling at me that I couldn't park there unless I was going to pump gas. I assured her I was going to get gas and that I had been on the road for 3 hours and I simply needed to urgently relieve myself. She started to escalate her tone, yelling at me more and more and getting more aggressive.
I didn't understand the issue and she kept telling me I had to move unless I was pumping gas. I returned to my car and tried to initiate pumping gas, and after two to three attempts she came over and tried to rip my credit card out of my hand. I pulled the card back not knowing what in the world she was doing, and I said to her, "You are not touching my card."
She then got even more angry and slammed my gas cover door shut on my car and pounded on my car. In shock, I said, "You pounded on my car!?" Then she threatened to alert the police
Finally, after all this, she informed me in New Jersey you can't pump gas yourself. I remarked, "Perhaps you should check the license plate of the car before acting like a lunatic." I went in and complained to the manager.

On March 1st I was accused of trespassing under mistaken identity and then a trespass notice was actually issued to me even though I wasn't the person that they thought I was I'm a regular customer

Speedway is my favorite go-to. My favorite is the North Lima, Ohio location. Super friendly crew! Great coffee and food!

speedway referred to me as a "valued customer"... but I had an issue with the app and rewards not being issued. I emailed customer service. they just stopped responding. when I escalated they said I used "abusive language" in the emails but refused to show anything to back that up. "denied any liability". that's how they treat a "valued customer". valued right up until you call them out on the lies they tell.

Absolutely not! I purchased a vanilla gift card to pay a bill online when I got home and tried to pay the bill. It wouldn’t go through!! I called the card and at 1st they said it would take 7 days! I was an installment plan with duke energy so I was extremely upset bc since I couldn’t make the payment it through the entire amount on my bill and I’ve been trying to catch up ever since! HOWEVER THE MONEY HAS NEVER BEEN RETURNED!! I came directly hone with said card and it was here the entire time!!! I HAVE USE VANILLA GIFT CARDS TO GIVE AS GIFTS SEVERAL TIMES!! How many times has this happened and I didn’t know about it!!! I’m disgusted with the service I received as I was panicking bc I didn’t have anymore cash!! If tables were turned and I came and grabbed 100$ out of register I’d go to jail but they can take my 100$ isn’t there some type of agreement with said card!!!

Got short changed on a purchase , cashier made a mistake and manager wouldn't let her open the register to correct it .offered merchandise instead of cash , I declined. Didn't get the cash . Rip off. Shop elsewhere

One of the best Speedways in Elizabethtown. The two best ones are on N Dixie Hwy. Staff are always friendly. Bathroom cleanest at this location. Pizza is delicious and to die for ?

Great service Awesome people. Prob didn’t take his hundred bill cause we don’t always have the change. Only allowed to keep 100 in our cash drawer and I’m guessing he hit speedway at the wrong time of the day or night where as they didn’t have the change to give him. I’m guessing he didn’t spend at least 1/2 of that 100.

Went there this morning to get gas and the guy inside said I had insufficient funds but according to my bank it went through so now I'm out 30 dollars and couldn't get any gas! So be careful using your debit card there!

This is the ONLY Speedy I’ve been to where the store never seems clean and they never re-stock their cafe area. I always have to end up asking for one thing or another. They never seem to have sugar and at times, they don’t seem to care to look.
Personal pan pizza is one of my favorite things there, friendly service and fast. No wonder it's called speedway. love that they open 24/7. love the cafe where you can order delicious subs and of course the pizza is my favorite. love the design and layout of the inside. If you visit try the sub sandwiches their great. Even the people are so kind.
