I usually go to Scooter's because it's closer to my house, but since I was going to pass this location today I decided to do Starbucks instead. The wait time was decently long in the drive-thru (about 20 minutes) but the employee on the headset was very friendly.

But my coffee was terrible. I got the same thing I usually get at Scooters, a large espresso drink (shaken espresso here) with milk and sweetener, and an extra shot (5 espresso shots total) I was doing my happy dance in my seat as I pulled off with my drink, but it turned into a sadness shuffle when I took my first sip. It tasted SUPER acidic and acrid, and definitely burnt or scorched. I took another cautious sip, just to be sure I wasn't imagining it, but it was still the same nasty burnt taste.

I didn't have 20-40 minutes to go inside or through the drive-thru again, so I just had to make peace with the fact that I wasn't going to have a yummy caffeinated pick-me-up today.

I confirmed my mobile order twice at the drive-through and both times your staff said yes. Yet when I came to pick up, they asked my name again and acted like they didn’t have my order. That means I was asked for my name four separate times after already confirming. Why say yes if you don’t actually have the order? This is unacceptable and comes across as careless at best, or discriminatory at worst. I expect an explanation.

When I pulled in to get my drive thru pick up and the line was wrapped around the building I decided to go in and grab my order. My issue with the lack of service is not one person acknowledged me standing at the register. Not hello, we will be with you in a moment. Nothing. When I mentioned this every employee ignored my comment and said have a good day. A white woman comes in and is acknowledged immediately. In 2024 we still have simple minded racist people thinking they are big time because they work at the local watering hole. I thought Starbucks was working on the blatant racism they show customers. Guess one major lawsuit and months of bad publicity didn't work...

The red head that helped my friend and I was a total witch, you can tell she hates her job, and she subtly takes it out on the customers. My friend and I were waiting on her to greet us and take orders for a good while. Not friendly at all, shouldn't be working there or taking orders with her ugly attitude. Or maybe the store needs more people on staff to lighten up the load and potential mood of the staff.

A walk-in, cash-paying customer can expect to wait longer than any other customer. I stood at the register for almost 5 minutes on a recent visit before any of the baristas even acknowledged me. Then waited almost 10 minutes for my order to be filled. A plain cup of coffee and a glass of water. While the drive through orders were getting filled with great efficiency and speed. Crazy. Used to love the Starbucks experience. Probably not coming to this one again
