My husband and I ate at here last night. I've always gotten their shrimp trays for parties, but this was our first time eating there. It was excellent! The battered shrimp were 15 for $14.99 and they were huge and delicious! The couple next to us ordered the oysters and said they are awesome. They are $2 each! Can't wait to go back and try their other seafood! Staff is super friendly, and Carol at the bar was a gem! We will definitely be back soon!

Made our first visit here and it was wonderful. John, the owner and chef waited on us. Personal service. Brought us out shrimp and cocktail sauce on the house. Had the smoked salmon. It was really good. Slight hint of sweetness and nice smoky flavor. Great sides of broccoli and Brussels sprouts. Very enjoyable visit. Great food. Oh, gave us some homemade ice cream too. Yum.

We're doing restaurant bingo so started with AFISHionados for A. I haven't been to Florence Mall in years and was pleasantly surprised it wasn't completely dead like Tri-County or Northgate so we ended up walking around and the kids had fun playing at the little play area. So our disclaimer is that my husband and I actually don't like seafood. We eat it because we know it's good for you but if we're eating it, we tend to go for sushi or a white fish. And if I cook it at home I make sure it always has a sauce if I'm doing something more straightforward. With that being said, we went at about 6 pm on Saturday and there weren't a ton of tables. They were a decent amount of folks walking in and placing carryout orders/purchasing. We ordered the cod dinner (fried with panko breading), fish burrito (I think it was seasoned tilapia), broccoli, onion rings and fried okra. Our kids got fish fingers and the hamburger with fries. Cod dinner - Interesting use of sesame seeds that I enjoyed. Nice and crunchy. Not oily or fishy. We loved the housemade tartar sauce. Burrito - really good. It was fish with rice, beans, cheese and some sort of sauce. We used a regular flour tortilla (they had spinach and jalapeno as an option as well). My husband likes seafood even less than I do but he ate most of the burrito and liked it. Okra was super tasty. I wanted some sort of dipping sauce with it (spicy mayo maybe?). Loved the broccoli, also garnished with sesame seeds. My kids liked the broccoli as well. Onion rings were a generous portion and tasty. I did put a bit of salt on them. My kids devoured their fries and burger. My daughter is actually a fish lover (throwback to her grandparents) but she wasn't as big of the fan of the fish fingers. She's not a big sesame seed fan though so that might be why. With that being said, she got 2 or 3 good sized pieces of fish which I thought was a great value on the kids meal. Then they have soft serve and have lactose free options (son is lactose free) which was awesome. We wrapped it up with some chocolate soft serve. So I think it's the owner/owner(s) and then either one or two other folks who work there. You order at the counter then they bring your food out to you so it's not formal service but they did a good job of stopping by and checking in with us. I also thought value wise it was great. The food does take longer to come out but you can tell they're making it fresh to order which is awesome. Overall we were fans. My husband thought it was great which again, as non-seafood lover is a good sign. We live in Cincy so about 23 min away but we'd definitely make the drive to eat here again.

My friend kept raving about this restaurant, so I had to go try it. Overall, it was okay. I probably won't go back unless I went with a group & they picked this place. The restaurant has its own entrance. Parking was a little chaotic, but this was because the covid drive thru was snaked through this part of the parking lot. You enter & walk to the back of the restaurant & place your order. The one girl at the counter was over whelmed. She was alone handing fine in orders, pickup orders & people coming in to buy fresh fish from the counter. We place our order. Lobster roll plate. Clearly says on the menu 2 rolls with slaw $21.99. Cup of lobster bisque $5 Philly steak sub $10.99. We go sit at our table. Soup comes. Then plates come. The lobster roll plate has 1 tiny roll & slaw. The poor girl running the front is also the waitresses. I asked her, isn't this 2 rolls? Oh, yes, but you didn't say you wanted 2. (Make sure you clarify you want both-price is same 1or 2 rolls). My son said the lobster roll was good. He said bisque was good but has had better. (I should mention we live in New England, so it's hard to compare a land locked state to a fresh ocean state). Philly sub, not so impressive, my steakum sandwiches are tastier, but it's not their specialty either.

I'm torn with this review. Our first time here...we ordered the Captain's dinner which included fried cod, shrimp, clams, and French fries. We also had a bowl of clam chowder and the grilled shrimp platter. The clam chowder was good. I'd give it a 6 out of 10. It needed salt and pepper. The grilled shrimp was quality shrimp and seasoned well. It wasn't exotic - a standard, but well cooked quality shrimp. The battered & fried cod and shrimp was extremely well battered and crunchy, but...I am not a fan of the batter itself. The batter has sesame seeds, which is kind of neat -- adds additional crunch. My issue is that it also has rosemary. Maybe I'm just sensitive to rosemary, but I felt it over-powering. Condiments are severely lacking. The tarter sauce is odd -- lots and lots of dill. The cocktail sauce -- nothing to say about it. The cole slaw? It might be the worst cole slaw I've ever tasted. It tasted like ground up cabbage...and that's it. We will come back, but we will not be ordering the same things. Ok, I originally gave 3 stars. After seeing the notes posted in the bathroom, I'm bumping up to a 4. Clean bathrooms are important.

My husband and I happened to be at Florence Mall when we saw AFISHionados at the one entrance. Boy, were we surprised! They fly fresh seafood in daily so, you know you're getting quality. John, the owner, was super friendly! We chatted quite awhile about different things. They even offer cooking classes! I'm really stoked about taking one! The ambience was very seafaring. I loved it. I ordered the Captain's dinner. It came with 2 pieces of cod, a huge lobster mac 'n cheese cake, 3 shrimp, cole slaw, and fries. The fish, shrimp, and lobster mac 'n cheese cake were all fried crispy in a beer batter with a very nice seasoning on the coating. It wasn't overly salty like you get at some restaurants. The cod was moist and flaky. The shrimp were very large, plump, and juicy. The lobster mac 'n cheese cake was super creamy inside, with huge pieces of lobster. The cole slaw was light, and refreshing. Not soaked in vinegar and mayonnaise but, dressed perfectly. The tartar sauce is homemade, and was delicious! It had the right ratio of ingredients plus, it had capers. It gave it just the right pop of flavor. My husband ordered the lemon pepper halibut, with brussel sprouts and a squash, zucchini, onion mix. The halibut had such a great flavor, and was also moist and flaky. The brussels were cooked so well. They were soft, with no hard core, and weren't bitter like some can be. The squash, zucchini, and onions were sauteed to perfection. They were buttery, and seasoned just enough. They weren't hard or mushy. They had a good soft yet, crisp bite. We also grabbed a She crab soup from the case on the way out. It has tons of crab and crab roe in a thick, creamy base. It was outstanding! This is definitely a must try restaurant! We'll be back very soon!

Hidden gem. Fresh fish in the case. You choose from fresh assortment, seasoning and sides. We had Scottish Salmon, broccoli, light brown rice and Sea bass , broccoli and fries. They have burgers available too. Excellent service, fantastic food. Highly recommended. No, I don't know the owners, I'm in from out of town and happened upon a Google find for Fish restaurant in Florence Kentucky.

Absolutely a 5 Star seafood dinner. Just stopped by for a quick bite and ended up having the best seafood platter I've ever had. The salmon, cod, shrimp, and clams were incredible! My husband and I were very impressed by the friendly service and great food! Captain John is the best!

A great seafood place inside Florence Mall, although you'd never know it since they have their own outside entrance. They sell both prepared meals for dine in or carryout and also have fresh fish to purchase and take home to cook. Cute little place and their service is fantastic.

Likely the freshest seafood you'll find in NKY. My husband and I came here for a pre-dinner snack for my oyster craving and this place did not disappoint! We were originally going elsewhere for our 8 year anniversary dinner but decided to stay and got the Chilean sea bass and the fried cod dinners. The staff was super friendly and personable, served us free ice cream after finding out about our anniversary. Looking forward to coming back here to try out their other menu items.
Hole in the wall joint. Fresh seafood. Seafood prepared to your liking. Looks like improvements to the facility are in the works. Food is great. No alcohol when I was there, but they are working on it. Shame that this place is in a dying mall.

Some of the best fresh oysters & crab cakes we've ever had! The scallops and grouper were good too. John the owner was super nice, as were the other employees. Great place with everything priced fairly. Will be back soon!
