Recently visited with a group of 8 for my mother's birthday. We were sat immediately inside without a wait. Rose was our server. She was friendly, handled our larger group well, and kept our drinks filled. My low rating has no reflection on her service. Five stars for her! Our issue was with the food. Two stars vs. one because the queso dip was delicious. My mother ordered her burger medium rare. It was beyond well done, burned, and then some. As were the sweet potato fries that came with it. The manager came out and replaced her burger, as well as took it off of the bill for the error. The replacement burger came, as requested, in a to go box for her to take home. She got it out the next day to eat, only to find it was just as burnt as the original one. My husband and son got the Wildcat chicken sandwich. Both came without any blue cheese dressing that comes on it. Thankfully, my mother had ordered extra that they were able to use. My brother and I both ordered the ham and cheese sliders. Mine were fine, but my brother's buns were both burnt and had to be remade. I'm not sure if the cook was new, overwhelmed, just didn't care, or was having an off night, but it was enough for us to know we will not be back.
Also, it is worth mentioning, in case you haven't been there for a while, like us... they no longer have Reubens.

We were asked to move from a patio high top table for a band set up and offered drinks and an appetizer . Needless to say we were moved and never waited on . Ridiculous!!

We used to go fairly often, but over the past year or so, the food, service and overall experience has slipped dramatically. Tonight we went , place was not crowded at all, Plenty of staff but service was a snails pace, when we ordered it took nearly 45 minutes for food to come out, when it finally came, it was cold and unappetizing. Never saw a server again and had to flag down someone to get our bill. What was once a local go to restaurant is now not worth the time, effort or money to go. Probably won’t go back unless something changes. Barleycorns, we know you can do better but I’m afraid you will join the growing list of failed restaurants.

Worst experience at a restaurant. No cheese on cheeseburger. When we told waitress she brought slice of cold cheese on a plate. No blue cheese on hamburger order. Burger was barely cooked. Brought home and put in air fryer. Table was such a mess I had to clear a space so my payment could be seen among the clutter.

Had a great dinner! Service was excellent and friendly. Josh was our server and Sandy checked on us several times to make sure we had everything we needed! We had great beers on tap- Abita Purple Haze and the blacked fish tacos were delicious!

Service was great but I haven't been to Barleycorns in several years and I was very disappointed with my Chicken & cheese pasta. There was so much cheese on the top that I could hardly taste anything but cheese. And it was completely stuck to the pasta, so I couldn't even pull it off. My friend however, enjoyed her salad.
