This visit was a reminder of why it has been several months since I have been here. The bar in the back seems to have the worst service. I asked for a coke and got a glass 3/4 full of ice. I didn’t think it was a big deal since it was very slow so bartender wouldn’t be so busy when I needed a refill. Once food came out, the bartender disappeared. I waited patiently for a good 5-7 minutes thinking maybe they were busy. Once 10 minutes rolled around and hadn’t seen anyone...
Had dinner at Drake's Hollywood last night and loved the vibe—beautiful ambiance and really great food. Service had a couple hiccups (one drink was forgotten and it was a little hard to flag someone down at times), but nothing that completely took away from the night. Overall, a lovely experience and I'd happily come back.
There are lots of things I would like to shout out in this review. First off is that our server, Billy, was awesome. Second, Drake's booths are high-rise but are extremely comfortable. Finally, our table had an appetizer, burgers, sushi, and sodas. Everything tasted great - and in particular I was thrilled that we could switch out mustard for a second cheese dish with the pretzels.
